Dr. signed ACMPR paperwork easy peasy...

When I was last at my doc's office they had a sign stating they were not signing any paper that had to do with allowing patients to grow their own marijuana. I have the same issue where the LP's are charging like $10 a gram and its insane. Pretty sure this clinic must get some back end for not allowing any of its patients to grow their own and only allow them to buy from the pricey LP's.
i'd report that crap to the College of Surgeons and Physicians

My friends you need to document everything, keep a journal of all events with Dr's, take pictures of the signs, secretly record the dr's on your phone if you have the ability.
If you can get him to sign you up for a gram per day but he/she refuses to send your document to HC or give you your doc so you can send it then report them and do you.
If you can prove that Dr's will sign you up to an LP easy peasy but not for home grow I think that is a clear cut case in court, it is not the dr's choice on how you obtain your meds long as it is with in the HC parameters. If you can prove that you are being victimized at the LPs and Drs expense I think that is a clear cut case. Might even be able to sue the Dr for impeding you in such a way ; )

Never thought of doing any of that but makes sense. I guess I just felt I was one of the lucky ones who was even prescribed weed (the clinic has a website with a few people complaining of their prescriptions getting cut off or just stopped, and the clinics response is (summarized) "due to the grey area surrounding medical cannabis, we have to protect the doctors so they can keep being allowed to prescribe". I'm only prescribed a gram a day but at these prices it sure adds up! My next appointment I'll definitely look to see if the sign is still there and have a talk with them.

Thanks for the insight everyone

The LP's are exposing their greed agenda bit by bit.......Gonna bite em in the ass yet.....you'll see...Hippies know.
My GP sends me to a cannabis clinic. In order to get an original document for ACMPR, the clinic is charging me almost 200. Its not even a renewal, just a original copy. Anyone else having this problem?

according to clinic, the college of physicians (don't remember if she said Canada or just Ontario) has told doctors NOT to sign forms allowing patients to grow their own marijuana but this is currently up for review (which means we'll get an answer....in a year?). They say its because there is no way to regulate how much a patient will grow, the amount of THC in each plant, etc.

So if other people from Ontario Canada have recently had their doctor's sign the form allowing them to grow at home, this clinic is either full of Sh*t or it is still under review and its up to each doctor's discretion.

That is not what my Dr. who signed for me said.

Sorry, but I have to call bullshit on that. they aren't going to be so blatant as a governing body to just up and defy a supreme court order
I thought that was just to keep allowing people who already were growing legally?

Is there any type of definition or requirements that allow a doctor to choose one patient being able to grow and another patient only being able to purchase? Again, if its up to their discretion, it'll be about finding a good doctor (the doc that prescribed me my med cannabis was super against cannabis in general. he bad talked it the whole time I was in his office and said how you should never expect it to cure anything, don't stop taking your other medication, the evidence is weak at best, etc and this is a clinic specializing in medical marijuana hahaha)

can't find much on the internet about the college of physicians specifically targeting or discussing growing....so likely there's something else going on in that place

the Dr should give you the OK to use it. how you get your meds should be your own choice. if they try to force you into a system, there's your complaint. the courts say if we have Dr authorization we can grow ourselves. if they'll sign for you to get into a LP and not to produce your own-that's against the law. they don't get to chose how you get your meds

I would relish the opportunity to 'discuss' this with your doctor. FYI, there will be 'raised voices', so don't be shy.....
