Okay, this is a stealth dresser grow. My dimensions are as follows: 2'l x 1.5'w x 1.5'h. I will be using cfl throughout. (highest wattage I can find) 4 30w 6500k for veg, then switching the 6500k, with the same wattage of 2700k for flower. I have them under 1 23w cfl at the moment, but only until I make a trip out to lowes, to buy all my shit. I am planning on wiring 2, 2 prong light sockets to an extension cord, which will also need looking into. DIY forum will help most likely. Also, I will be wiring a computer fan as well. I will also be getting something for flower that JUST makes odor go away. That doesn't smell like anything. I want to have 1 female under this set-up, but, I'm sexing 3 at a time, and if I get 2 out of the 3, obviously, I'll be keeping it. No need to waste. I, obviously, want/need to keep them as short as possible. I'll be lst-ing the shit out of her. I will probably be using a litter box bottom, as to further the possibility of lsting to an extreme measure. Any suggestions are welcome, and advice too.. wait.. I think that's the same thing..

I'm starting a grow about the same size as you are and my main worry is how to keep the smell down because I live in a small, bottom floor, middle apartment. Any tips with this will help... so someone please respond.

um well to be honest, 1.5 ft tall is really short when you figure lights and pots. just saying . you should try LST for bigger yeilds

There are alot of different sprays you can use.. but don't go with something the covers the odor, get something to make the odor go away. It draws attention.. people might wonder why a particular part of the house smells like flowers, and nowhere else.

i am actually surprised to find a lot of people who try stealth grows and think that 1.5 ft is tall enough without lst. ha they need to read the nooooob section

Okay, so I was at Lowes, to look around, and this is what I've found so far:

40w, 2600Lumen 3000K(flower) for $10.00 Each($40.00)

65w, 3360Lumen 6500K(veg) also, for $10.00 Each($10.00)

+ all the electrical stuff

EXT.Cords= $5.00/cord <<<<HOW MANY OF THESE DO I NEED FOR 4 LIGHTS????(WIRING)

2 Input Sockets $3.00/socket
TOTAL: ABOUT $60.00

I know the price is a little on the steep side for a cfl grow, and a stealth one at that, but I want to do it right, and in the end, it will be worth it. Plus I don't want to take the chance of ordering online for alot of reasons, and all of this is about 5 miles away from me.

I believe this is all I will need. I will have 1 (65w CFL) running all through the veg stage (I will be using the LST method for about 4-5 weeks in veg)(3360 lumens in total, during veg)
THEN
Using the 4, 40w for the rest of flower(10,500 lumens in total, during flower)

Also during flower, I will probably have to pull the budding sites over 1 or 2 times, during stretch the 1st couple of weeks of flower. I'll just pull them over a little bit, which will make for more bud production anyway.

I want the plant to have AT LEAST, 5 budding sites, all about 3-5inches in height.<<<<HOW DO YOU THINK MY YIELD WILL BE? (In Grams)

# OF LUMENS REQUIRED FOR EACH STAGE
SEEDLING-400 LUMENS
VEG-2500 LUMENS

Another thought.. I was wondering if it was possible to make a reflective hood that would just stand over the cat-litter bottom, as to have as much light as possible to the plants, and nothing showing outside the drawer? About 9-10inches in height?

14"L x 11"W x 10"H??


Oh, I forgot to say. These will be grown from bagseed, just fyi.

Does anyone know where a link is as to how many ext. cords are needed for a 4-socket set-up????

Hey, check out my grow... You may find it useful in deciding what you should use. I have what seems like the exact setup but my grow area is about 27" of good grow height. everything else is about the same it looks.:joint:

2.) When I lst, is it true that if I run the main stalk around the edge, or around itself, really, pinned down to the dirt, the second branches will grow, and these will be the future bud sites?????

3.) Does anyone know what I can use to make a hood, that is 9" in height, that can fit over the cat litter bottom? As to have as much light as possible ON the plants???(When I close the drawer above the one I am using, I can see a slight ray of light, that actually CAUGHT my attention)
4.) What diameter would one bud have if flowered at 3"????

This is what I have figured out so far:

CFL HOOD
I will wire the lights to whatever I find works best (question # 3) using an extension cord(or 2??). When I have figured out what the hood will be made of, I will then cut a hole, to fit my wired up computer fan to the side BLOWING IN to the hood. I will also cut 6, small slits right where the dirt begins, on the inside, each 3" in length. I want the hood to be elongated 3-4" width-wise, to allow my thermometer to be close to the plants (to have better readings).

1'5" L x 1' W x 9" H
THE GROW(SPECS)
I will veg under the 1 "Daylight" bulbs for as long as it takes to wrap the main stalk around the pot to 3'2"(the plant will actually be 3'2" in height, just wrapped up) SO that's..
1 Node Every 1.5" of plant height
24 Nodes=48 Bud Sites???(probably have to chop some off in the beginning of flower, so the space isn't overcrowded, like, 15, I'd say)so 25-30 bud sites(all at 8"??)
All will be flowered at 3", so the stretch is minimal(Probably will end up at 6-8" finished) I'm thinking the diameter of each bud (or, technically, the width) would be around 2". Please correct me if I'm wrong.

MAYBE.. I could just veg it long enough to make 1 trip to the far right of the box, then to the left, making it at about 2 ft total height.
16 Nodes = 32 Bud Sites?(more like 15-25MAX)

When flowered, at 6 weeks, I will start a molasses regime (2tbsp/Gallon) every watering. Up until then, I will either be using no nutrients or using miracle grow, please say which would be better. Obviously, it would be better to actually buy good nutes, but there's nowhere in the area that sells anything other than miracle grow, and other brands NEVER mentioned for marijuana growing.

PLEASE!!!!.. Is anyone has ANY COMMENTS at all, feel free to express them. Tell me what could go wrong, ect.

Alright, I popped in this thread because I was actually planning to do a dresser stalth grow. But you have such a good game plan in set from the beginning I had to say something.

Everything looks good just a few suggestions.

If you're buying all these cfl bulbs anyways, why only use half of them for flowering and half for vegging? Throw them all in there. Those are the spectrums "best" for these periods, but they doesn't make them useless during the other stage- not by a long shot.

Also, to solve your reflective and light leak problem go with either mylar or the black and white poly plastce. I'd suggest the poly plastic because it's cheaper, easier to hang and deal with, is completely light proof, and you can make reflective light proof curtains when needed.

Also, as far as the budding sight question. Each node means you'll most likely get more than 2 budding spots depending on how long you let the plant grow. For example, on my Kiki, her 2nd node is still on the plant (at 3.5 months) and it's budding a cola the size of the main cola, with 8 med. size buds growing on branches off of it and ovr 10 popcorn bud sites. Now times that by two, and that's how many bud sites you'd get off one node at 3.5 months. Now let's say you did half of that time- it's still a lot more than 2 bud spots..

Thanks, ALOT for replying, it means a great deal. I was actually planning on buying 1 65w 6500k for veg(2600 lumens) and then 4, 42w for flower. I'm actually doing this, so that it's the LEAST amount of money spend. I'm going to lowes on sunday to get sockets, and the 65w.

It's not that I live somewhere that I don' have to worry-- it's just that I'm not paranoid, no one's going to track me down and bust me for a misdemeanor, if any agency would be scouring boards for growers it would be DEA- no one else has the resources for that, and they usually won't touch anything under 100 plants- let alone 5.. lol..Also, I've kept my plant number to the limit of what would be considered a misdemeanor here... if I were to ever get caught (very unlikely) I'd end up with probation for a first offense w/ 0 record.. lol.. I've got too much to lose to risk a felony..:blsmoke: Grow but be smart..
