Temps are good....25-26 C daytime, 22 C night. RH 50ish day, 40 night. No CO2 yet, filtered air intake. Running A/N @ 75% strength, soilless promix, with soil ph testing around 5.8- 6.0. 0 ppm R/O water base. Nutes testing 700-900 ppm. 8 x 315w cmh over 7 plants, 50/50 mix of blue & red spectrum (3100k & 4000k).

I know the pots are too small, could this be part of it? Had no space in original veg room to transplant (long, boring story)?? Circumstances got me to this place.....just hoping for some advice ie...pruning etc.....

Maybe too much nutes?

I would give fresh water to runoff and see what it looks and tests like and add back less fertilizer and see.

Also I got better results in promix above 6.0 ph average runoff. Another indication of too much salt buildup maybe.

Yes your right pots are to small for that size plant also in my OPINION, the main thing wrong is your growing with chemicals! Eww lmfao. Best tasting buds are organic!

Pots don't have to be huge. This plant is in a #3 nursery pot. Which they call 3 gallons but is really about 2.5 gallons of volume.

It is about 30" tall and 24" wide and will average 5-6 oz dry dense nugs and an ounce of close trim for extraction.

Small pots just require more care to keep the plants happy and uptaking. nute strength is more important as there is less soil to buffer and salt buildup will occur faster if overfed.

Nice!

I grow different strains and crosses perpetually at different stages so I keep the plants on stands and bent and trained to the size so I can move them around as needed. Harvest every 10 days or so average.

I do test run off, and when it's EC or pH get high, I flush really well.....maybe I'll try keeping pH a bit higher, thanks.

I have larger pots (3,5,7 gallon) that I wanted to use, but circumstances of 'stealth' limited the space I had getting those 1st ones going. Getting into my full 4 room grow now, so can transplant to any size I want. Next question then (which is all ultimately a matter of opinion/experience)...when to transplant. I start the well rooted cuttings in red solo cup, then to 1 gallon when growth really picks up.....then what? Straight into 5's or a few weeks in 3's...??? I ultimately want to be in all 7 gallon pots, 2 weeks before flipping them to flower. I am planning on vegging short and training very wide, for full 8 weeks (+/-) that the flower room is going. I have a separate mother room, and 'baby' room that will be rooted & ready the day the other rooms change.
Thing is, I have lots of space, but a limited # of plants on my legal license. I want to fill every inch of the space. I built easily moveable tables, with trellises attatached, to maximize useable floor space. So my transplanting questions are designed to get 3' x 3' wide, 4' tall (from soil top) plants by harvest. I know how to train, just curious besttransplant regime. 8 week veg, can I afford an extra transplant to keep roots working....??
Sorry about the long question.

It's a good question. I think transplanting is key.

I also use red 20oz plastic cups for a couple of weeks from seed or maybe less for a big cutting. Then go to a 1 gallon for 2-3 weeks then the 3 gallons I showed above. If I wanted a 4' plant I would likely transplant to a 5 or 7 from the 3 and veg a couple more weeks before flowering. They grow fast by then.

I just stake and tie down with soft flexible tie to control them after the initial bend to form bushes.

It really depends on how ur girl is growing usually a month is a minimum veg I usually Trans from a solo cup at about 3 weeks give or take 8 in tall then I Trans straight into 5 or 7g and start my topping and training that's just the way I like to do it!
