Droopy, yellowing leaves.

My leaves on my plants are all drooping, and the bottom-most leaves are starting to yellow, and eventually die and fall off (the yellowing is spreading pretty evenly across the entire leaf). They are in Miracle Grow soil, and get watered every other day.

Is this a nutrient deficiency of some sort? Am I over watering? Is the droopiness and the yellow/dying leaves caused by the same problem?

Edit: OH, and my stems are turning a very reddish/purple color.

Thank you all.

Okay, just bought some nutes with 7% nitrogen, whatever that means. Using 1/2 the recoomended dosage. Will see if things clear up.

Anyone else have any input?

Sorry for not having pictures.

I had the same exact problem. I transplanted as much as I could out of the miracle grow soil and into Coast of Maine organic potting soil on dec 10th.

I also added foxfarms "big bloom" and "tiger bloom". 5 days later you would swear they were different plants. They grew about 4 inches in a few days.

first pic is december 6th, second is december 10th, last two are today, after a few days in the new stuff with FF nutes.
