More then likely YES they may grow.. yes they may be eaten... and if you dont take care of them.. expect the same results from the plant.

It is possible but the chances are slim. If you germinated and planted in a good spot, maybe. find a spot with just enough sun/shade and good black soil, tear the soil up real good and put your seedlings in. i would also water at least when you first plant. I have had success doing this but more failures because of males. I wouldnt put the seedlings all in one place because of that. spread them out planting the same way and your chances will increase.

I hunt, or used to anyway, and I would put seeds down during turkey season, March, and go back in deer season, november, and look for them. I put them in great spots, by water, in sun, great soil, all over the place. With that said never once did I return in November to find anything at all. My guess is the ones that did in fact grow got eaten by something. I have planted seeds on vacations, day trips, you name it. I even put some on the side of the highway once by a city sign so I could go back and get pics, they would be funny. Never worked for me but good luck it is fun to try

It's a weed, and, of course, a plant. You must consider the environment you are putting it on and the environment that seed evolved. If you plant, it will behave like any seed: it MIGHT grow. Just look at a male plant and you will se how many seeds it can produce: we would live in a big cannabis tree if every seed on the earth dediced to become a tree. I live in Brazil. There are many home growers in here, but mostly of the weed around comes from Paraguai, Colombia and Bolivia. And that is what you can call "Guerrilha", because all this drugs are cultivated by organized crime and civil war rebellions. Just youtube something like "cannabis field colombia", and you will see that there is not really that much "caring" with the seeds. It falls back to the concept back there regarding a single tree making many, many seeds: If you plant a lot on many viable places in a right time, of couse these seeds MIGHT develop. But by planting two, your chances are slim to none. If you want to plant on the wild, there are some cool guides in here regarding that, i've been checking out, great stuff indeed. My advice? Save them while you think tank about wild planting or another solution that suites you best. Seeds, if well preserved, can stand long periods of time. Peace, Keep on growing!

Way back in high school, I scattered some bag seeds in a freshly planted corn field and just kicked some dirt over them. I came back once to check on them and pulled some weeds out, then a few months later to harvest. I filled a couple of trash bags with the harvest (including leaves). But bear in mind that was in a very fertile corn field. In the woods I wouldn't expect much, if anything.

It could work. The chances are pretty slim though. Not watering them might not be an issue if it rains at least once a week. From my experience with experimenting plants in ground tend to need less water than potted ones. But the roots can grow down as far as they need and find moisture for the most part. That's my thoughts anyways. I had a few randoms out in the woods I didn't have to mess with too much. I actually fertilized them though. They wouldn't have done squat really if I wouldn't have. If you just wanna be super lazy then at least make sure to chop the dirt up really well under the plant so the roots will have an easier time going down. You said you didn't wanna buy ferts or anything but I say invest in a small batch of time released ground ferts and it could yeald something.
