In medicineman's context, I actually don't know. I think he's making an accusation towards those of us who refuse to give up our ideals and ideology. But I can't always be sure with him.

Ah! Well, there ya go. Apparently we're supposed to hang our heads and follow along. :)

Not exactly, though he does work for the local phone company and is in a higher up position, so must be "kept in the loop", so to speak.
So, what would you have the sole wage-earner in our household do?

I can't see any of this really making squat difference . . . anyone thinking the President is any more than a figurehead for some secret society (freemasons?) hasn't been paying attention. If you didn't know exactly what Gee Dubya was going to do if elected, you are either very young, or fantasizing! I mean, oils up X00 %. Ya'll didn't see that coming? Gimme a break. I don't even drive anymore, yet had no doubt about this happening.
McCain I really dug in 00' . . . he missed his boat. Other than that, my mid-20's daughter is/was jacked about Obama, I know nothing of his campaign wishes/promises.
IT's all crap.
When it became a game of hundred's of millions of dollars to get elected, it became impossible for most to ever dream of being the President of the U.S. (who'd want to?)

Let's face it. Some kind of social revolution awaits reality. Until, and only IF government stops trying to dictate morality, then it's just a matter of choosing the best of the worst. I don't play, but am in a 2 vote, Blue state, so it's not like it counts.

I'd love to believe this election might mirror Kennedy's (minus the murder) but don't see that happening again until after the market bottoms out and we lazy Americans get a big dose of humble pie.

i kinda always thought the president was supposed to be a "figurehead" of sorts. he does what the people want, so to speak. otherwise he'd just be a king, wouldn't he? :-o

OVERGROW THE GOVERNMENT!!!!!!! WOOT! WOOT!

Wow, with all this downsizing and offshoring of technical support etc, Maybe you ought to really consider growing for a living. His job cant be that secure. they just laid off a thousand middle managers at Harrahs. The largest concrete company in Vegas just laid off 100 concrete drivers, the one I worked for is barely hanging on, the economy is going downhill pretty fast, I wouldn't feel too secure with Daves pissy low management job, it could dissapear in a flash. Oh yeah, signed Med. BTW my wifes boss is pulling money out of his chinese stock account and says he's going to ride this horse untill it dies, then we all know the worth of beating a dead horse. He has about 25 million bucks in chinese stock, a little known chemical company that he and a friend started and merged with the Chinese as Big oil Boycotted them in the USA. It's a miracle chemical that added to diesel or gas engines, cuts pollution by 90% and increases mileage by 25%. If Kerry or Gore would have been elected, it's pretty sure he would have been allowed to market it in the US. The Chinese are stoked with the product and about 50% so far of the trucking industry is starting to use it regularily. My wifes boss has promised her he will take care of her when she is ready to retire. I think he knows what a good shot I am.

We'll see if the President and Gov will leave me alone and let me die with dignity, and maybe leave my grow alone. That's all I've ever wanted?

I don't think so. But, apparently you do. So, show me where I attacked.

Yet, it's the behavior of one of the biggest liberals on this board. He specializes in the ad hominem attack (and no, I'm not going to define that for either of you, use Google, "define ad hominem"). Nor is the ad hominem the exclusive domain of conservatives, but is also utilized often and well by plenty of liberals (also known as Democrats at times).

Again, please show me where I've made an attack. I go at ideas and reasoning, it's called "debate". I ask questions, often very pointed. I make observations and statements of my own opinion and facts I have ascertained to the best of my ability to be true. Are those attacks?

I'll get my snake hook! :D
