Hey all i had my plants hanging up for about 3 days now and the buds are almost cripsy to the touch and the smaller ones are basically crispy..like if i were to break a lil piece of budd off it would flake a bit.. i mean its going to be 3 days at 5pm eastern time but i hears you want the drying to take 5 days atleast i dont think these are goign ot make it that long into drying..and here my CURING question...if i have like 2-3 buds and i only have 1 quart mason jars is it ok to only put like a bud or 2 in there to cure or does it have to be filled 3/4 of the way to be effective??but the biggest problem of all is the drying for me their in a closet at its cold in there a little under 60 deg F some of the ti mes at night and humidity is low..i can move them to a box but would it matter?below are some pics of the bud in the curing process tht was done real early..that i dont know if its actually curing cause the stems snap so i adds moisture but any ways let me know wht u guys think please, thanks!

Nice looking buds ya got there! :)

Just dry the buds until the stems snap, then place them in a mason jar in a cool dark place.
Everyday open the Jar for a few minutes and then put the lid back on tight.

After about a week the moisture will slightly return, and you will have a great product.
If the bud is too dry after a week, put a very small piece of an orange peel in with your bud..Im talking about the size of a thumb nail.
After a few more days, you will notice that your buds will have a bit more moisture content.
Properly drying and curing marijuana is essential for potent smooth smoke.
Its like fine wine.
Dont dry em too quick, and always dry in the dark.
That goes for the curing process too. I always keep my mason jars in the refrigerator for long term storage. Good luck :)

If the buds are crispy and the stem still has moisture then they are ready for jars. The buds will sweat out the moisture when they are in the jars.

so them drying in 3 days wont effect potency taste and smoothness? i heard 5 days to 14 days is best

it doesnt matter if your bud dried after 3 days. 5-14 days to dry is more for bigger dense buds. The denser the bud the longer it takes to dry. I wouldnt try to add moisture back in them. If they are crispy already put them in a jar and they will moisten back up

throw them in a jar... u can use a smaller jar if ur concerned with the 3/4 being filled or whatever... cure em up... use whatever method your comfortable with but def get those buds in the jar if the outsides are crumbly

If after you have cured them you think that they are way to dry, the orange peel works or a small piece of damp paper towel in lid, not touching the buds.... after a few hours they will suck back some of the moisture...

As for 2 buds in a quart jar, why not?just remember to burp em....

ok cool so i dont want my mmain stem to snap right? its supposed to stil be bendy right? and would it matter if some buds werent dry and i added them like later into the jar thats been curing? or just throw them in a seperate jar? and as i was just putting htem into the jars i found that the stems had quite a bit of moisture so iam going to wait a few more hours with a fan in the room blowing away from them

It couldnt hurt, you definetly want to fill the jars to about 70%
i was thinking along the lines of mold cause iam a noobie when it comes to curing so i dont want to ruin all my crop in 1 ..put all my eggs in 1 basket as id say...but i guess ill just open the jars and make em nice n full if i can..what about the rest of the buds that wont fit..OH and guys what temp would be better for curing around 60 F or 75 F
