I am trying to figure out a good way for me to dry my buds. Not spending 2k on a cannatrol or 4k on a freeze dryer....I am thinking just another tent with an inline fan and fan/humidifier/dehumid? I can keep the lung room around 60f .... I don't really see any better way?? Any ideas or opinions? I have 1 tent now and last time i just chopped and hung right in the tent and seemed to work well....i think i am just thinking out loud here........

Certainly a second tent will work, but unless you had issues with the last cure, why bother? Unless, of course, you just want a second tent.

A second tent would work- i use a tent has been powered down ( not growing ) - running the extraction fan only with a bottom lower passive inlet.
I either mesh rack dry or hang branches . Zipped closed with hygrometer to monitor.

i think this is the way. just bought a vivosun tent lol and a inline fan with the wifi controller. Just need me a humidifier and i think im good. Why the mesh thing? Different than hanging branches?

When drying, I pull the light from a 3x3 tent, set the controller to exhaust at 60 degrees and 60% humidity, hang the flower, and place a small fan that blows air around the bottom of the tent (never directly on flower). For humidity, I place a tray that I fill with water at the bottom of the tent which slowly evaporates. I dry in a basement that’s around 60 degrees year round, so I don’t really need to worry about temperature and the evaporating water easily keeps the humidity at 60%. Every couple of days I check the water tray and refill when needed.
Perhaps there are better methods, but I’ve had good luck drying in the 3x3 tent these past couple of years. Using this method, my flower is usually ready for curing in 10-14 days.

my basement is very similar except 30rh in winter lol ..... is a humidifer bad in a drying tent to keep humidity up? i feel like it's a dumb question but ... idk... i don't think there's a difference between that and some water in a pot.....

I’m not sure. I prefer not to use my humidifier in the tent because of the dust from the humidifier (minerals from our well water) and since I don’t want to bother with RO, I just use old film developing trays filled with water in the tent when curing. For growing, I condition the humidity in the lung room instead of directly in the tent. That’s just a personal preference thing since I have several tents pulling from the lung room.
i highly recommend a RO filter. I got one an aquatic life RO filter for like $60 and i use it for all of my humidifiers now. never knew why i had to buy new ones almost every year...... i battled the dust in my tent exactly one time because it's horrible.....

I'm currently growing in a 4x8 to drying in a 5x5. Environment is controlled in a 10x10 lung room with a combination of portable AC and dehumidifier, pretty much just like a normal grow..
For last harvest I had only have 4 small clip type fans that I propped up facing in/out of the vent holes, 1 pushing air out and 1 pulling air in the tent at all times. I have the other 2 clip fans hooked up to an Inkbird. They kick on to blow extra air out when humidity goes up, along with a humidifier that kicks in case RH gets too low. I just place the humidifier outside my tent right by the intake. I didn't have anything inside the tent for circulation, I'm still unsure about needing it.
I'm still improving my method and upgrading my setup, I plan on getting a true exhaust for the next harvest and just got a 2nd Inkbird controller for my AC. I do wish I would of got a 4x4 tent instead for a smaller space. It seems cramped and very humid on harvest day, but a week in you realize its really overkill.
