Drying Method Question

My mate was telling me that when his parents used to grow, that they used to wrap the buds in paper towel and put them in the sun for about 2 days to dry the buds out instead of hanging them.

Just want to know if this is a plausable method?

It will work but you should watch closly so you don't over dry it and it will become harsh. The whole reason we slow dryit is to give it time to cure which improves th flavor and potency...
