drying your smoke

Would dry it too quickly and leave you with a poor quality smoke I reckon. Best way to dry is slowly, in darkness.

Yes you can, and it works great for samples if you're in a pinch. Just set it to 95* for 24 hours and you're good to go. However, the hanging method followed by a cure will be best all around.

You definitely want a proper dry more so than a proper cure, if you had to choose between the two. A good dry evenly distributes the thc inside your bud, the cure will slowly perfect this but your dope will be plenty potent without a good cure, just might be a little grassy/harsh at first.

When I'm low, I'll smoke a little fresh dried and then smoke from the jars, it gets better every day :)

I cant believe you would even ask that, if you took the time to grow a crop full circle an extra week or two isnt going to kill you. If you dont dry and cure you will have some nice hi quality garbage. Will burn nasty, taste harsh, and smell gross. You will still get high though.

how much potency does it lose by not curing and hanging
I genuinely believe that you could tell the difference in potency between something quick-dried, and something that was cured. That being said, the difference isn't night and day, but it's there.
