anyone know if you can put a 600watt hps/mh in a 90x90x180cm tent with out burning the house down or would it be better off with a 400watt light in there

ill have forced air induction and cf filter extraction and a 6or8 inch fan just a bit of an update ordered a cool shade to go with this now so i should be ok for heat

If you have a good reflector/hood and a good fan there should be no issue with heat. 400cfm+ for a fan

I Have a 400w in a dr90 and temps at canopy are around 75f I am using around a 200cfm fan. A 400cfm should do the trick

You could make either work (with an air cooled hood and good inline fan). I run a 600w in a 2'x4'x7' (61x121x213cm) tent around the same size... To be honest though, I would probably prefer a 400w instead with a couple of 2' T5 strip lights attached to both sides of the hood if I were to do it over again though.
