Hoping sum1 can answer this ?,my oldman has a bag of AMORPHOUS DIATOMACEOUS EARTH-85%,CRYSTALLINE SILICA-15%...He uses it in the pool filter,is the cryalline silica safe for plants???I want 2 dust the top of my soil for bug repellent.thanx...

I know this reply is a little late, but that's not the stuff you want to use. What you want is food grade DE. You can find it in most Hydro shops.
