dual 400w veg and 8 plants?

hey just was thinkin bout a dual 400w mh and hps veg for 8 plants in roughly 5 gal pots in a 3x3 tent

do you think this will provide adequate light for the full veg of 4 - 5 weeks?

also i will be switching to a 600 w hps and a 400 for flower

these should take them all the way through no or is it too many plants?

4 plants will look the rainforest in that space, 8 is not happening in 5 gal pots

hmm that sucks cause theres no way im killin any lol guess this is def gonna be a learnin experience

tho i did just do 5 in that space tho i flowered with that exact same setup 400/400 the 600s new this round

Well you can have as many plants as you can fit pots, and as long as you train them to get their piece of the light you can make them all happy at once...it is just not easy...lol. I veg with a 400w MH and I will veg however many plants I can fit in there, with pots and pots and all manner of craziness....
I flower with a 400w CMH and there are more size constraints in flower than veg...right now I am flowering more than I usually do and I know now there is no way it is going to work...there is no way it can...but it has to...I have to get some plants out of here to make room for some new strains...perhaps even good enough new strains that I don't feel terrible stopping an old strain...lol. My tents are 4 ft wide and 5 ft tall and almost 3 feet deep, and I totally will fill the veg tent, with plants stacked on plants on plants...lol. Not on purpose, but like I made my own cloner for less than $30 and it has spots to take 8 plants, and I don't really need to take that many clones at a time at all, but when I saw how awesome the results were I like overdid it...I took not 1 whole batch, but 2...so 1 batch of clones in the cloner is already 2x the number of clones I need...and then I took 8 more...just for the hell of it...never thinking I would have to do something with them sometime...anyway since a couple were second time strains I vegged and trained them a lot longer...so I could only flower 2 or 3 at a time...then the tent starting getting overgrown like hell...So I had to kill 3/4ths the plants I had...I kept the 4 newest clones, and one plant that had missed the last rotation, so anyway I just kept having to cut the plants back so they would be small enough for me to still veg by the time it was their turn...and I am just now getting the veg tent cleared out again...took like 3 cycles to get it all under control again...the problem is when I veg and train a plant so it will be large..because you can have more smaller plants...but with everything overgrown in the veg tent nothing is small...but now I figured out the hitch in my rotation and it won't happen again..

and the moral of that crazy long freaking story was all about how you should watch out trying to veg too many plants, because you can veg more than you flower...when you go to flower you can only do so many plants of a certain size...and I am past that now...if the pots fit in there in veg it will work, but in flower the plant gets so much larger...so it causes issues...I have no issues hacking off branches if need be though so I think we can get through this...all I know is that I am glad to see small veg plants spaced out in the veg tent while the flower tent flowers...lol. well I am obviously too vaped to keep typing without ranting..

they say MH is better for veg so i would say yes, having the CMH will give you the broader spectrum as well so thats a good thing, i like using both spectrums for all stages, but thats me and i dont know shit
