Dual MH and HPS Help advice?

Hello everyone, just a quick question, I've done a few grows and am happy with my results so far. Im doing a 6x8 closet grow with some auto strains using a 2 light system for the first time. I can run MH and HPS from either light and was curious if i should run one Mh on a 250w setting and one Hps on 600w at the same time during the entire grow? Ive normally ran Mh during veg then switch to during hps for flower. Or should i run both lights on HPS for an auto strain the entire grow? Any advice would be appreciated!!!! Cheers!!

You can run MH during the veg cycle then switch it up to the HPS for the flowering. If you had 3 lights I might consider 2 HPS on either end and a MH in the middle but as you have only two lights I would stick to a standard configuration

We notice better flavor smell and potency.

They also sell what are called Duel Arc bulbs..

It's a 1K bulb that has a 600 HPS and a 400 MH arc in 1 tube (normal 1K size).....

You might think about running at least 2 600's in that size a space..

Run the MH/HPS combo for the first week or so, then the last week or two, HPS only from week 2-6ish...

Since I've started doing this I don't get as much stretch going into flower and the MH seems to really help resin production at the end.

Do you move your lights, or plants, around? I had to start rotating them, or the growth from one side of the tent to the other was totally different with the different light spectrums.

A 300mh/300hps dual spectrum 600 bulb would be cool, wonder if anyone makes one.

Yes I rotate them around the room and tend to finish them under a 315 LEC I added recently.

But the plants are mostly in an overlap anyway.

And your above comment about starting and finishing under mh and using hps for the bud growth would work very well.

My plants have all gotten more compact with the added spectrum.

Many commercial growers are putting 10k mh with uv in place of the hps for the last two weeks for a THC gain.
