I generally only veg sativa clones for a week or two tops on the 1st run. My 1st runs are never for yield so after I see the stretch I go from there whether to train, leave untopped etc... Small pots will help as well to keep them rootbound. Long gone are the days of all my plants growing into the light lol some still do but I pinch them over but it's only a few that should of went straight to flower from clone no veg.

I can imagine tripling in size with that much sativa
Durban stays low. It will actually hit a low height limit early indoors and start filling out horizontally. Especially if they used the durban cut i think they did. Combined with the c99 should get you pretty reasonable xmas tree plants with a nice sativa high. Good combination if you ask me.

Yeah definitely not going to get anything over 9 weeks from a dp/c99 cross. Durban finishes in 9 weeks and c99 is 7.5-8 weeks. These are actually both strains that have been used for 'taming' wilder sativas, so i think you are definitely on the right track there.
