Durban Mother topping?

So we are doing a SOG with Durban Poison. Our mother plants are growing very tall and will become a problem soon.

Question: Can we cut these mothers say in half? If so would be make the cut just below an node or above?

Any other ideas for combating these ridiculously fast growing plants?

Cut right above a node. You can root what you cut off.

I just read on another forum that said for mothers top away. Can anyone confirm this?

Can I keep topping our mothers every 3-4 weeks as necessary?

here are the mothers. They are less than a month. and have only had proper lighting for 2 1/2 weeks of that.
