Dutch master nutrient line

Hey RIU, i went to my local shop yesterday and purchased a coupe of products from Dutch master. I went with DM gold grow and flower a&b, dm zone, dm add.27, and dm silica. I used canna aqua nutes my last grow and feel i could have done better. Do you guys have any other recommendations as to any other additives if any are needed? And is what i have from dutch master the right stuff to start my next grow? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks RIU community

I was using the full Gold line for ~ one year covering several grows. Always had good results, but have been looking to replace liquid nutes as my RO system provides < 20 ppm water. I came across a thread on another site touting hydro-rearch single product Veg & BLOOM.

I have been using it for 5- 10 days in 2 of DIY systems: one is my 21st Century F & D, the other a DIY bubbler where I am finishing off a clone. I began at ~ 640ppms and now am at ~800 ppms

Current pics available in my journal

Thanks for all the info guys. I cant wait for my babies to germ and get them on these nutes. Might also go pick up a jug of potash also

You might also want some CaMg+.

When I ran out of Gold A/B (+ Add.27) I switched to DM ONE Grow, which I use for both veg and flower. During flower (increased ppms), I add Potash+, BUT, noticed ONE is pretty low on CaMg, so I add 10ml of Botanicare CaMg+ to 4gallons.

Although DM Gold A/B and DM ONE have done a nice job for me, I see better bud development with Hydroponic-Research's dry formula Veg+ BLOOM
.

Ok i will look into that when i go back to the store. How much more development did you see? Was it a substantial gain?

Wow.

My experiment of switching from DM Gold to HR Vg + BLOOM is paying off already. I used a 4" magnifying glass to look closely at the fowering plants all 3 systems. Only the hpa is still getting DM Gold ONE Grow + Potash+.

Both systems getting V & B now have ~ 5% trics, whereas the hpa < 1%.

Now this could simply be a matter of not having added enough Potash+ to Gold ONE Grow. I didn't want to over do it, so I just bumped the 5g rez with another 6mls of Potash+, and may need to bump it again

Even if doing this jump starts the trics, V & B is so much easier all the way around.

Thanks for the info. Since i already purchased the dm gold line im gonna do a run with this and see how it compares to the canna nutes grow i last did. Im running the same strains as before so im sure ill be able to notice a big differance with DM gold.

It's not that DM is mediocre, well it seems to be compared to V & B. I will be switching DM out for V & B today in my hpa rez. Both of those plants have decent buds, but are far behind in trich production.

Drop by my journal for updates

#1 is the plant that has been getting < 100 ppms of V & B for 2+ weeks. It's much fatter since taking this photo Friday.

These are from the hpa rig. Also < 1000 ppm, but DM. I snapped the main stalk on the larger one to even out the lighting> HO T5 8 bulb using specialty bulbs

DM gold line is a good choice. Does a nice job overall. If you are running a pure indica or a ratio 50/50 or higher a cal/mag of some sort should be handy. Indica strains will strip calcium rapidly giving you an imbalance leading to liming then lock out.

Nice and easy to use though.

Good Luck
