Hey y'all,

I'm just wondering how much the TD stretches during flower?

I've got a MONSTER on my hands, and I'm getting worried lol.

I cracked a TD auto and a WW auto on Feb 1st. I thought I would grow them out in my veg space for some extra smoke while I waited on my photoperiod strains. The WW went into flower automatically, as an auto flower should. The WW has already finished flowering, been harvested and smoked. She was delicious, tasted of citrus and black pepper, with that slight ruderalis taste that I find in all autos.

The TD on the other hand, has continued to veg, and veg, and veg. My Think Different is currently about 5ft tall, and still vegging. I've transplanted it hoping to shock it into flower. That didn't work. I topped the shit out of it, hoping to shock it into flower, that didn't work...

I was unable to put it into flower because I had nowhere to do so. But now I do, and I'm wondering about stretch.

How much does she stretch?

Here's a pic

Bear in mind, I'm 6'2" and holding the camera at eye level here.

See how I've created a monster?

@Mhogs I just realized this was a thread jack. I'm sorry bro... I thanked all your posts on this thread and can move my post if you'd like. Don't wanna step on any toes...
I hope you got plenty of room to flower that monster lol she going to be huge

i can give her about 2.5ft x 4ft in my tent and her own 315w CMH, that's the best i can do. i've got 7 plants under a gavita on a light mover on the other side of the tent, so she'll have to make do.

what i'm really wondering about is stretch. how much does the TD stretch?

i'm thinking about topping again and just flipping her, but i really don't want to have to deal with her stretching into my lights and such.

does anyone know about how much the TD stretches? i know its an odd question because typically she'll throw herself into flower and it may be difficult to differentiate between veg growth and preflower stretch for an autoflower plant, but golly i've got to have some sort of estimate.

if this thing doubles in size i'm fucked...

hahahaha i guess we'll see what happens!!!

about a pound?

The plants I grew outside didn't get huge - in the 4ft, some maybe closer to 5ft range including the pot. They were quite bushy. Was a complete waste of time to grow mind you because it was bad smoke and the smell - the smell was awful and completely unpalletable, but of the 20+ plants they were pretty similar in structure. It will yield for you at least.

That's odd. Most people who try think different love it's sativa smell, flavor, and effect, and it's huge yields.

You couldn't give it away where I'm at. Most people who grow autos live in highly illegal areas from what I've seen. I suspect this has to do with some plants getting love where in reality they are garbage compared to actual quality strains. Those with no tolerance because all they can get is crap. And I don't know anyone, and I know a lot of people who all sampled this, who thought the smell was nice and sativa. There is no such thing as a sativa smell anyway. There are equatorial plants from certain regions that might smell a certain way. TD had some what can be described as haze undertones, but mostly it just smelled bad and not in a good way. I had one plant that smelled like bubblegum and that was nice. It still offered little to no effect though. At least that plant was smokable. The rest of it tasted that bad. And yes, I do know what I'm doing.

I'm sure it's changed a bit in the couple years since I've ran it. Autoflowers never stay the same, so maybe they've improved it.

Nothing happened to mine. Grown to completion in RLOS outdoors... I've been told I grow some of the best outdoor weed around here by quite a few folks with a lot of experience thanks to the great microclimate I have and huge amount of sunshine. I'm glad it's worked out for you. I grew the first release of TD and autos change continually, so perhaps it's improved. But it was bad for me. I also had a few display bad recessives out of 22 that would have pissed me off if I were growing a single seed which many auto growers seem to do.

Unfortunately I no longer have any pictures as it was a few years ago. Here's last years crop though... Anesthesia by Breeders Choice from Sannie. Outdoors around the 50th parallel.

So I'm asking for thoughts on what to do. I'm not 100%, but im 90% that these are nanners...
So not only after over a decade of stabilization of fem seeds, buts its been a good amount of time that autos have been out and i feel like this is crap. Both of my outs look like this. Im writting dutch passion as i feel like i should be sent some new seeds. But since i grow outdoors. The season is almost over even if they send me new seeds. I guess I'm more so disappointed.... what should i do?

They do look like nanners, can u think of any stresses they may have endured? Between your issues and senile fungas with a 4 month old still in veg these don't seem to be very stable. Sucks though, they are pricey seeds.
You could try plucking the nanners off and hopefully they will stop producing them.

If your plants are four months old and still in preflower I would say they were stressed pretty bad and probably the reason it hermied.

DP is a reputable company might want to contact them and see what they say, until then keep picking the banana's off and since your outdoors I would not worry about a little pollen, the smoke will still be good and you will have a few free beans.

those are definitely bananas bro, idk of anyone who has stabilized line of autos for 10 or more years hell I dont even know of anyone going past the F9

think different is the strain? shouldnt take more than 3 or 4 months from start to finish unless you just got some funky fucked up pheno like a non auto, in that case you may as well finish it out (as long as youve got no regular girls out there) and try and get some smoke off of it.

why do you say your outdoor season is over?

I mean, I do have a couple regular females going, but im gorilla growing them. So they could go great or they could go shitty. Who knows. But more so just the patio auto season is over. Ya I could pick nanners everyday. I guess we'll see. But to replace the seeds I'm looking at 3 weeks. I already contacted dutch passion. Hopefully they send me a couple beans.... for those comments above who haven't been following the thread. These plants are 38days old. The only stress they've had is my fat cat chewed off a couple lower leafs on each of them...o well. I guess this is just another reason why I never liked autos.
