Nice setup! BTW- I looked at that seed bank place you spoke of and WOW!! They got some nice seeds for sure but man they are way over priced IMHO.....I mean like 75% overpriced.....just a FYI
Anyhow a few questions for ya sir......why you not using SH nutes? Just curious as they work very well with this system. I assume this is your first time using a SH system? I also have some other Botanica Pro Bloom nutes Im wanting to try out later maybe...Im practicing with the system myself right now and growing herbs which is for my first time, thanks to Roseman and others is turning out VERY VERY well. I am most impressed with the system overall....but the SH nutes was really one of the "plus's" I thought since the hardest part is gettting your PPM and PH water conditions under control. After that..HYdro is EASY as pie! A good PPM EC/TDS/PH meter is a MUST have though! Its as important as your lights.....I found that out rather fast. The best thing about these SH sytems is you can correct a problem EASY (with a good meter that is, you can also know EXACTLY what your plants are eating, drinking, needing..ect at ALL times)! You can almost revive ANY dead plant...I have seen this first hand...its amazing! DOnt let anyone tell you different. YOu can do things with Hydro siol growers can only DREAM of doing! Ive used both side by side..there is no comparison. I have grown in soil for over 30 years....always had a garden and ALWAYS grew our own veggies......it was/is pretty much a family tradition for me. We always have had a garden..even growing up. When I first saw the power of using Hydro, I was blown away!
What size light you using and how far away is your light from your plants? One thing you could do to help them when they are that small is use a humidity dome. You can make easy by finding any small clear plastic cup. Like if you ever seen these little fruit cups at the grocery store? They are delicious also!.lol
Or you can cut a plastic 20oz soda bottle in half and place over each baby...helps alot. They are not really ready for HID yet, so it not only retains water inside the cup as condensation, but it takes the edge off that HID light. You can bring it a little closer using a dome also, but dont come no closer than within 12-15 inches with HPS or MH 400w bulbs. Check for heat and hot spots! But Im sure you know that part already!
Good Luck!
