OTDL, I also look at lumens per sq/ft as well.
The sun gives an average of 10,000 lumens per sq/ft.

And lets not forget the Inverse Square Law, with regard to light penetration.
Also threw in Cali Grower's Metal Halide Distance Chart.

For VERT growing multiple plants (4 plants/sq.ft.) LOLLIPPOPPED U know how AL B Fucts does. But only growing them DWC instead Very Stealth in cramped quarters. All this grow knowledge can be applied to our grows regardless of grow style. DWC was my thing.

Yeah man, I get what your saying...but why calculate watts per cubic foot?
Honestly bro IDK why i felt i had to take it and convert it to cubic watts. I was smoked out and at the time had nothing else to do i was on a mission to completely FUCT my flower pad up when i started thinking about cubes thats the best i can say.

lol...think you might be "over" thinking.

My biggest problem has been keeping height under control. My tops keep getting burnt.

LOL man ur probably rite about the over thinking. Im completely obsessed with growing and every aspect of it always have been. On another note i had problems with my plants growing into my lamps and getting burnt. The growth explosions in DWC are rediculous ive seen 5 inches in one day in early flower. I easily fixed the burning with a vented hood and a 4 inch vortex fan. My plants can grow into the glass if im not paying attention at times... And the cooler temps from venting the hot air outta the flower pad also fixed the alot of the crazy stretching caused by hi heat temps. Get a vented hood and a cheap fan man its the only way to go u will be happy u did. I also grow in tite spots with little head room and will say even after all that u still may have to add some LST to the tops by tieing just the tops down and letting them grow S shaped. The bottom 2 nodes will bulk up alot nicer in doing so.

Bro I got vented hoods but I don't have enough cfm to cool them. I can touch the glass but its still pretty warm. The problem now though is if the plants get closer than a foot to the light, they bleach out. I'm guessing thats from the intensity of light?

I asked the question about lumens per sqaure foot and came to the conclusion it was just easier to round down to watts. For example i believe 1 watt = about 100 lumens give or take with an expection to the higher output lamps of the 600 watt that puts out what 90,000 lumens or something. I could be wrong about all this i never gave it much thought. I do know with these calculations it would be impossible in my flower spot to mimmick the suns output LOL. However I like the INVERSE square law chart u put up. And seeing all the great STADIUM grows and actually adapting some stadium type ideas to my spot completley brought my grow space to its fullest potential. So ill close this post in saying cypress hill couldnt of said it better and i think we all agree HPS ganja gods bless my whole crops!

Bro put some pix up. Actually start a journal it would be alot easier to tell what ur talking about. IDK what kinda light ur growing with. IDK how ur Feeding. IDK exactly what u mean by Bleaching. IDK why u dont have a journal lol this would make it alot easier. Give us some pix to work with.

Thanks for the pix. Does look good. 17 days in yea so u overwatered the rockwool let it DRY out n dont do it again. Overwatering is something I had to deal with in rockwool. Switch to the grow plugs they dry quickly and are ideal for DWC. Ur water level should be kept a couple inches from the bottoms of the pots now and get rid of the top feed bro. and get smaller pots next time so u can fill the res full of roots. Bro did u check the growtorial its on the first page of the DWC subforum really go check the first 3 or 4 pages and see where ur plants should be rite now.

Wheres all the Master DWC growers. Lets talk about growing in DWC.
We have covered PH.
Kinda got into Lighting.
Got charts.
Lets talk about set-up. Simple how to's on building these simple and easy to grow in systems.
We can even get technical n talk about how these things go hand in hand working together i dont care. I wanna talk about DWC if its helping new growers with simple stuff or getting to the bottom of problems some of the more knowledgable growers may be faceing in there grows.
Lets do this.

you must be from Havana
