I raise the lamp but still they seem to want to grow into it.
Its all good. They are in stretch mode and the glass is cool to the touch so im not too worried about it.
This pixel is a day old i think.
I raised the lamp earlier but they are already back on it.
4-6 inches/day now.
Brief update today.

My dates were previously wrong. Nothing new thier.
LOL these where only 5-6 inches long 13 days ago.Tommorow is 2 weeks since transplant.
Totally Fuct.

in reply to post 13, woooooowwwwwww, what the hell am I doing wrong??? see my crap ass setup, its been 4 weeks, but those had been stretching for light early cause I didn't know the proper distance for the light with 2 60 watt cool white fluorescents (which I believed isn't good enoug anyways, so I added 4 42 W daylight CFLs at 6500K and that didn't help much either). They were transplanted from a soil pot and I gingerly used a foilar sprayer to wash soil off the roots before I slapped two sides of rockwool around it and put it in the DWC I have at 1/4 grow and 6 pH. My roots were looking skimpppyy at 2.5 weeks when I put them into the DWC and since then they haven't improved much at all. Should I just scrap this project and start again when I have a metal halide or hps to zap them (keeping proper distance) to enhance growth speed because it is supppeeerrr sloowwww right now. I'm using white widow crystal and ice strains, so I know it's not the seeds. My potted plants are sucking up a storm now as well, not sure if it is a potting mix problem or a pot breathability problem (using that thick fiber stuff in a hanger in a bucket method). I use the soil moisture probe and it takes AWHILE for the inner soil region to get to dry. Cheap ass Foil on both sides to enhance the light situation. Also within the last week I turned the DWC into a real bubbleponic dro system, with a waterpump and a manifold because I didn't think it was getting water properly (either too much or not enough). Been running 3 times a day for 15 min. How the hell do you get that MASSIVE root system?

That made me sick lol

Oh yea at about 2.5 weeks I had also used the foliar sprayer with a small small dose of root stimulator which was sprayed not only on the soil, but also the leaves (because I didn't know any better) could that be a reason why its not doing too well?

Just recently I also lifted up the rockwool to take some pics and check out how the roots were doing. I was shocked to see that some of them look like fungus is growing on the roots, what the heck is that shit? How do I fix that? Is it even worth trying to fix or should I start over again like I saidand wait till my hps and MH gets here? How disappointing, is that fungus in the last few pics? You know it could be because the roots weren't completely free of the transplant soil and it was an organic blend I got from walmart, or maybe they already had it before I transplanted due to the soil moisture problem? Any thoughts would be appreciated!!

Well here we go!!! I had 3 lsd clones that I had put into soil maybe 2 week's ago and they seem to be doing great, so I took 1 and transplanted it into A DWC... I got my fingers crossed and hopefully it will do OK!

Brinklan, this thread for the most part is used to show off our dwc setups and crops. Assistance may be properly acquired should you post a thread within the corresponding category, for example plant problems. I'm not interested in reading that huge post, but I am here to drop some eye candy... Exactly 1 month into flowering.

Wow Leetsoup, too bad we aren't all as stuck up as you. You should suck my dick, this is a DWC thread and I'm talking about my DWC setup in my post trying to troubleshoot it just like everyone else here prick. I was giving props to the guy who had the crazy dense root system via DWC and I wanted to know his trick, I didn't put a gun up to your head to tell you to read my post, get a life and maybe instead of complain about what I write on a thread figure out what you need to do for yourself.

Guys, can we please act at least a little professional on these forums? I really do not want to see a flame war start.

I'm doing my first grow that is plain simple DWC. I was going to use the pump and feeder tubes from the kit but decided to see if the bubbles could do it alone. All I had were 3 white dwarf seeds which I started in hydroton and rockwool in a tote with 6 gal RO water, three 12 in airstones and an air pump larger than the aquarium models. Seeds were germinated and had 1 cm long taproots.

I admit I was leary about them getting enough water and was prepared to top feed them if I had to. I put in a 4th netpot loaded with hydrton and rockwool but no seed. I put an easy to remove cover over it so I could pull it and see how far up water was spashing and how wet the rw was. I was surprised at how wet it was and couldn't see where any drip or top feeding would improve matters. So I haven't top fed at all.

I was shocked to see roots in the water on day 6. I started light nutes on day 7 per mindmelted's advice. Here's one on day 9, what do you think? I didn't take pictures when I grew this before but this seems good to me for day 9. I haven't changed the res yet and think I will do that on day 14 and up the nutes. Sound right? Thanks

Does not look bad at all.
Whats your ph and water temps running
pH has not gone out of range but gets up to 6.4 and I adjust back to 5.7. Water temp has not been over 75. I know lower would be better but I'd have to freeze the room to do it. I may change my mind when next summer comes but as of now I've decided to not grow at all in the heat of summer because temps are just so hard to deal with. I'd have no problem keeping 68-75 in winter.
