There is a materials break down at the end if you want to skip ahead....
So i am beginning my first DWC grow and i am using some jelly bean white widow seeds. I began on Jan. 23rd with germination. I had three seeds pop with 1/2" roots and got the set up in my rockwool.
To prepare my rockwool i soaked them in Ph adjusted water until the water soaked through to the surface of the cube then gave it a few good shakes to get some extra water out of the cube.
After my seeds were placed in the cubes i placed them into a Tupperware container with 1/4" water and sealed them in the container as a humidity dome for the next few days until there is good root development. I am using a 42w and a 26w soft white CFL to begin my plants.
By the 30th i had very good root development and placed them into my 4galon res. with nutrients in it with 4" net pots and my air pump and airstone. I am using Hydrotron clay. I then turned three tupperware containers upside down as humidity domes and thats where i am at. Other than i lost one plant but the other two are growing strong with good growth and has three sets out already. Ph- 5.6
Lights- 26w and 42w CFL to start
Container- 4 gallon Rubbermaid container w/ black lid
3- 4" net pots
3- Tupperware container (Humidity Dome)
3- 1.5" Rockwool
1 Bag of Hydrotron clay
1 air pump
1 air stone
Will be switching to a bigger setup just waiting on my soil to finish up few more days! I'll give a new materials list then with updates lighting and more info on my nutrients and updated reservoir.
