DWC Jelly Bean White Widow Grow

There is a materials break down at the end if you want to skip ahead....

So i am beginning my first DWC grow and i am using some jelly bean white widow seeds. I began on Jan. 23rd with germination. I had three seeds pop with 1/2" roots and got the set up in my rockwool.
To prepare my rockwool i soaked them in Ph adjusted water until the water soaked through to the surface of the cube then gave it a few good shakes to get some extra water out of the cube.

After my seeds were placed in the cubes i placed them into a Tupperware container with 1/4" water and sealed them in the container as a humidity dome for the next few days until there is good root development. I am using a 42w and a 26w soft white CFL to begin my plants.

By the 30th i had very good root development and placed them into my 4galon res. with nutrients in it with 4" net pots and my air pump and airstone. I am using Hydrotron clay. I then turned three tupperware containers upside down as humidity domes and thats where i am at. Other than i lost one plant but the other two are growing strong with good growth and has three sets out already. Ph- 5.6

Lights- 26w and 42w CFL to start
Container- 4 gallon Rubbermaid container w/ black lid
3- 4" net pots
3- Tupperware container (Humidity Dome)
3- 1.5" Rockwool
1 Bag of Hydrotron clay
1 air pump
1 air stone

Will be switching to a bigger setup just waiting on my soil to finish up few more days! I'll give a new materials list then with updates lighting and more info on my nutrients and updated reservoir.

So i had some bad nute burn on no of my babies and it is now gone...
But i have one remaining that looks tto still be growing strong... tomorrow is the big day to get it in the new set-up...
i am finally going to be harvesting my soil grow and then i can dedicate my new resources to this plant... Tomorrow i will completely update my materials list as well as add photos of the new set-up and more details into it...

Hey buddy, thought you'd want to know you're my 100th post ;-). I thought I'd put it to good use to formally congratulate you for our work on the "Mystery" Haze. Sweet harvest day has arrived, I can't wait. T minus 9 hours and we'll be snipping. Good luck with the JB/WW dude, that stuff is some powerful product. I'll be around, happy growing brother

So the new set-up is as follows:

2.5'x2.5'x4' Grow box
4- 23w soft white CFL's for veg. with a DIY hood out of a tin roasting pan...
It is in a 4 gallon container
Small air pump (meant for 10-20 gallon tanks)
Single 12" airstone
2-4" net pots

The nutrients i am going to be using is called Grow 2-1-6 by Advanced Nutrients... it is a cheaper nutrient but should do for my small simple grow...
I have also inserted a new jellybean white widow seed into another net pot just to see if i cant get anything to happen... New set-up is running a lot smoother than the tiny little crammed area i had it in before...
Each light is giving off 1600 lumens so collectively i am running with 6400 lumens... temp is currently at 30 C and humidity is 18%... my pH is at 5.6-5.7...

If anyone skimming through this thread knows of any good nutrients to use or has any little pointers please feel free to leave any comment... Also i will be adding the pictures off the new set-up tomorrow or possibly tonight!

Quick update on the plants... obviously still nothing coming from the 2nd rockwool added today... but the plant that seemed to be dried up and dead is responding very well to the new conditions i have put them in... leaves are no longer "crispy" if you will, and there seems to be new growth coming out of the top!

SO here are the photos of how the set-up looks a long with a picture of my nutes that i will be using... hopefully going to be adding to the nute selection shortly...
As soon as the plants begin to show a bi of development and there is something to see i will begin to post pictures of those...

So i found an issue this morning where at some point last night my airstone released from the bottom of the container and was floating at the surface... unfortunetly it dried out my rockwool completely by morning... i repositioned everything right away but i am unsure if the sprout will survive... none the less i have placed a couple of new seeds (same strain) in paper towel to begin germinating... I am going under the impression that i will be starting all over.. .thankfully i am only a few weeks in...

Shitty news my brother, I'm sure your new set will be a feisty bunch and you'll be able to grow some monsters. Once you get some roots, throw up some pictures big guy

p.s. good to see you online with me ;)

If only it had happened during the day so i would have caught it well checking up on it and would have been abel to save it... but either way i have a decent set-up running that i know can give me results so as soon as i get new development from the currently germinating seeds i'll be rolling again...

so this morning i made the decision to start fresh... same strain new seeds put in...
When i pulled it i was upset it had some great root development going up until the air stone incident... but i have it all set up better in my res. now so i think everything will run smoothly from here...
my pH is currently sitting at about 5.7 and the temperature is 26 degrees C. The humidity is sitting fairly low in the box but they are under humidity domes so i am going to try and get a reading from inside a dome...
Besides my minor set bak with the airstone, even though i am a strong believer of soil organics, i am really learning to love the operation of hydroponics and finding it to be quite a bit fun... this may just convert me even with the two screw up attempts that i had before....

Keep plugging away my man, people are going to love the Jellybean/WW, one of my favorite smokes hands down. As soon as they get off the ground and pictures start going up, I'm sure you'll have a solid following on this one. I'll be keeping an eye on you ;). Happy growing bro

I need some updates my brother, it's been like 9 or 10 days since your last update. I went into your grow room to have a peak for myself because I had to know, and I switched out one of your 23w 2700k CFLs with a 42w 6500k CFL and took the dome off, she's about 4-5" now and looks like she needs a fresh breath now. Also threw the fan on so we'll start building some stem strength for you mate ;). I'd reckon you're about 4-5 days away from starting your nutrient program, can't wait to see what happens bro. Peace and love
