DWC is more for advanced growers. Get soil get some harvest then move to advanced. I didn’t learn how to drive in a car doing 120mph

Forget DWC, use soil(potting mix), for your first hydro , Try Ebb and Flow (flood and drain) in a shallow tray (not Pots) with Hydroton.

I’m running DWC for my first grow so I can’t speak much about soil. DWC is definitely hands-on and a lot of work, but rewarding if you want to put in the time. You have a lot of setup options and diy is your best friend.

If it intrigues you, fuck it and go for it. Just make sure you have the right testing equipment because things change fast and you have to be both reactive and proactive

Ideally to do well with DWC you need Big $$$$ and chiller in you tank in Summer.
To do it well it wont cost you less than a car.

I would disagree. In the long run sure. But I’m using $5 buckets and a $15 air pump. With hydroguard and a decently air conditioned room, temps are manageable. With proper airflow, temps are easy to control in the tent too, at least with a cheap LED like I’m using.
