That sounds about right when the heatwave was full on my nute temp went up to 91.f I'm gonna run my remote res. & have the option of freezing jugs of water as well

If your crafty at all it dosnt seem like it would be too complicated to build a cooler. Get some kind of radiator and a small fridge and have the water run through it or something. I think my chiller was only like 200$ tho

Wondering how much I should really trim, thinking I might be making more work then needed, as well as making the buds actually

I'm real close to finishing off insulating my room & by the time this grow finishes it will be cool I ran through last summer with no problems this summer was just a really hot one

Nice big fatty off of big one. The plants are starting to look bare lol. Other branches were ready to start curing proccess little over 2oz.

Trim wet and get it jarred before it's too dry to cure. Still working on knowing when that exact moment is, as some times it takes more attention on the jars watching humidity making sure we aren't into mold territory, compared to getting it right and only requiring a couple burps over a day or two.

If you can control humidity try drying the buds longer, also if you are used to your strain you can estimate wet weight to dry and chop enough to keep you busy. It will take a little planning but you're already doing it so you have some experience in what you need to do now you just need to time it all right.

Yea I've already raised the set humidity on my dehumidifier. Gonna continue playing with that because it is drying pretty quick, although keeping below 70degrees.

well maybe you can clear up some confusion on my end. From My reading I've questioned if the drying proccess needs to be lengthened if you aren't drying it past the point of it being able to cure. Some times when I jar it, it takes a week of burping and rotating with open lid to get the moisture to lock in at 65% for curing. So does the dry need to take longer? If it does then I'm
Not fully understanding the proccess. I thought it really came down to the cure, and as long as you didn't over dry it result should be same?

So I guess my question is there really a difference chemically what's going on through the dry and cure proccess.

If it dries too much terpenes and THC will be negatively effected. That's taste and effectiveness, temperature will adversely effect the quality as you saw.

THC-A is breaking down into THC and CBD/CBN. CBD breaks down into CBN. Ripening starts on the plant in the last week of flowering. That's why people jump start it with a flush, extended dark periods, etc.

Right but that's my point, if you never let it dry that far then what's the difference in how quick you get from 95 to 65% humidity. As long as it's in jars before it hits 65.

I have plenty to smoke so I'm honestly not in a rush to dry any more of it, but I am very fearful mold will swoop in and spoil my treasure. I have my dehumidifier on 60 and it makes it 55-60 in room I'm drying in. Maybe I should try not trimming for a couple days instead of letting moisture go higher.

Ok so to reflect on a density question, I thought about it and said who am I to answer this is my first grow! Lol. So what I do notice is the bigger buds tend to not be fluffy but to lose a little density where two nug clusters meet deep within the nug. I would guess it may be due to LED limits in penetration or maybe this is a common thing even with HPS.

Leaving the leaves on for drying will slow it down a bit.

I wouldn't call it fluffy, it's kind of wierd on the big nugs if you pull them openthere will be a lot of like
Leaves inbetween them, I don't know if that would all be solid nug inbetween them with a different light or if it usually grows like that or if like you said it's genetics

I did a bit more reading and it seems as if attempting to cure while the bud is still too moist can achieve very different results. And I definetly am. So I'm going to one wait to trim, and two give it an extra day or two beyond when I thought it was dry. Because it results in me jarring and having to take out because it rehydrates so much
