DWC: Switching Cal Mag Brands

Fam,

Is it okay to switch from using CCH20 Cal Mag to Botanicare Cal Mag Plus? I'm using the full Current Culture line minus their Cal Mag now. This is for a DWC system.

Thanks my dudes.

I switched from Botanicare CalMag to the GH CalMag just because everything else I use is GH. No harm on my switch.

They're basically the same thing except the Coco Cal has some sulfur in it from calcium sulfate. The CalMag Plus doesn't. The other ingredients are the same.

It seems the plants are yellowing. I've tried significantly upping the calmag too. It looks calmag deficient. I'm switching back to the CCH20 cal mag and will report back with the results.

Looks like that was a major issue. The other Cal Mag did not get along with the CCH2O nutes and the DWC system. Once I switched back to CCH20 calmag the issues went away.

in the future, if it's just yellowing (Mg), try adding epsom salts instead of cal/mg. you're adding extra Ca and N to fix a Mg issue
