Dying Clones - need help

Need help diagnosing these distressed clones.

They were cut and put in the aeroponic bucket 10 days ago. I dipped them in a rooting solution prior to going in the bucket. I'm using plain tap water, ph 7, 70 degrees. Room temperature is 70 degrees , humidity 60%. Only one has roots so far. The leaves have been growing the whole time. They are sitting under a 14 watt T5 bulb, about 8 inches away.

The clones seemed happy and healthy until about day 5 when they started to yellow and tips burn.

Last time I used this bucket, I had 100% success and all full roots in 7 days, but it's been a few years.

I read that a humidity dome isn't required with an aeroponic cloner. I tried it anyways and then I noticed a powdery mildew starting to develop, so I took it off and just sprayed 2 times a day with water.

Would burning of tips and yellowing have more to do with nutrients / light burn / PH problems?

isn't 7 to high for your ph?

I thought it was on the high side, so after a week I replaced the water and brought down to 6.5, no changes noted.

Bro, I pH my aero's at 5.8 and got roots in 3-7 days. When I didn't pH and left pump running 24/7 heating up the water it would take 21-28 days for roots. Pump on 15 mins per hour is how I run mine and re pH every few days, also I add 1/4 seaweed dose.

Light is too close, also what is the temp of the water inside? If it's any less than 75 it will take forever to root. 78-82 is optimal temps.

Water temp was 70. You think these clones should be tossed, or can they make a fully recovery into a healthy plant?

If you can get them to root they will come back just fine. I don't normally ph my water in my cloner and my clones usially look kind of shitty by the time they get roots but they do just fine.

FWIW, I don't cut my leaves like that, I just trim all growth below the tip and top 2 nodes - leaving four leaves and the growth tip.

Also no need to dip the cuts in anything when using an aero cloner. I'd check the stems and see if theres any slim or black on them. If so toss them, clean and start over.

plants go yellow when rooting when they are starting to show roots they take the energy from the leaves to produce the roots so this is perfectly normal and the plants will bounce back fine once the roots are established and there potted on so dont chuck em give them more time and stop fussing so much....
