Dynagro ratios

flowering with FoliagePro gives me slightly over leafy buds, not quite as dense as I'd like.
Flowering with Bloom gets me major yellowing from early flowering through to the curled up dieing end.

not happy with either.

did some neut math and came up with this in case anybody cares. Problem is I dont like any of those ratios.

I think I want something around 3-4-2 (9-12-6).
Thinking of getting some straight N to add to Bloom.

bloom 3-12-6
foliage 9-3-6
allpro 7-7-7
grow 7-9-5

mix bloom+foliage 1to1
6-7.5-6

bloom+foliage 2to1
5-9-6

bloom+foliage 3to1
4.5-9.75-6

bloom+foliage 4to1
4.2-10.2-6

grow+bloom 1to1
5-14-5.5

grow+bloom 2to1
5.6-10-5.3

I've tried both formulas by themselves in flower in hydro and I experienced the same thing as you. Mixing the two throughout the entire bloom cycle will yield the best results. So foliage pro for veg, then combos of FP and Bloom in flower. Personally I don't think your 3-4-2 is all that desirable for hydro.

my problem, if you want to call it that, is that I run a perpetual but all on the same rez. My preference would be to run FP until week 4 or so and then switch to bloom. but at this point thats not possible.
Maybe Ill try running Grow. its sort of in between.

I don't think grow alone is all that great either in flower. I also don't think it's a great idea to run a perpetual garden from one res so you're going to have to compromise a little. You've got the ratios up there, try the 3:1 or 4:1 for your perpetual setup.

Thinking of getting some straight N to add to Bloom.
Foe soil grows, this is what I do and it works great to keep leaves from yellowing during flower
and keeps the overall health in check.
First 2 weeks of flower I use veg neuts then after that I add 1 TBS of Mexican bat Guano to 1 gal of water them mix and add
1 glass full of that mix to every gallon of water used for flower feeding.
Perfect formula for my elite clone onlys.
I also use seaweed/kelp extract every feeding veg - flower.

Not sure how all this would work in Hydro though.

sorry to hijack thread but i know you are the guide to dyna, homebrewer, what kind of ratio would you run during flower of a hempy with 70/30 coco/perlite (perlite rez) if you had grow, bloom, mag-pro, protekt, calmag, and distilled water? right now i'm at 1.5 grow, 2.5 bloom, 1 mag-pro, 4 protekt, 4 calmag all per gallon...

If you're in that coco/perlite mix, I'd run just protekt and grow from start to finish.

I had a, what i believe, was a calcium issue at the beginning and have been using the magpro and calmag ever since. I'm no expert, probably not even a novice, but i do lots of studying and have found numerous references to a ratio of 1:3:2 for flower, and have tried to accomplish that through the mixing of the dyna line up. Using grow and protekt would give me a ratio of 7-9-17, if my addition is right. (4*7-9-5 + 4*0-0-12) I'm wondering why you would suggest this?

I value your opinion and believe you know what you're doing based on your various grows and appreciate you taking some time to help me.

Protekt is 0-0-3 so your addition above is incorrect.

In mediums like coco/peat/dirt, a 1-3-2 ratio for flower will turn your plants yellow. A 3-1-2 is what you should shoot for coco, IMO. But if you only have Grow, you'll do just fine with Grow all the way through.

I did type in the wrong numbers, whoops. i did notice one leaf toward the bottom yellowing so i went ahead and picked up FP because of the ratio. I'm not sure if you noticed i was in a hempy... BTW, isn't there some guy somewhere using dyna gro at 1.5 ml start to finish somewhere around here? can't find him again after 3 days of searching. anybody know where he is?

Check out Stoned Drifter's recent journal.

In regards to your yellowing, FP isn't going to do much more for yellowing than Grow.
