Your really just feeding the Microbes which are unlocking nutrients and in turn bring out the oils of your buds.

I think honey is a great substitute if you can afford it..? :leaf::bigjoint:
Sure is where you from and I might show you my magic, it works awesome, in flowering I use molasses aswel

hmm potato / banana soup lol first peal raw potatoes throw potato peels in 5 gallon bucket then fill bucket half full with warm water ..
Now take a break and have a banana once you ate it hell chop that up and throw it in 5 gallon luke warm bucket ,
Now with remainder of potatoes dice them up shit might as well throw them in there to once this is all done shit you might as well have another break and eat another banana dam there good
remember to chop that up and throw it in bucket as well now place bucket in a dark place good idea to cover it ,,
Next day get sludge hammer and start crushing stiring it all up then add some more water so its 3/4 full
stir the hell out of it and go have your self a smoke .,.
hahah ok now couple hrs later go find another 5 gallon clean bucket and a strainer and strain liquids into the other bucket wa laa you got your self some kick ass flowering nutes with some grass clippings in it and even some epsom salt your pretty set just remember 1 cup of this to 4 cups of water cause she is strong

It's as cheep as £3 and I mix one tea spoon per 6ltr DSC_0084.JPG , I forgot to mention I use miricale grow root boost potting mix, and if they go on the pale side I give a very light dose of DSC_0085.JPG
Wich has npk 5/3/8, and a light dose of cal/mang. Never needed to buy top of the range stuff because this works beautifully for me might not for you lol. I grow personal buds... Sweet care= sweet buds

I have to agree on that. Although, I would not spray my buds with anything at that point, but honey when flushing has appeared to be an interesting choice. Alters the taste.. :)

Also, one benefit of Soluble Cane Molasses over Honey is that Cane M. is high in organic Iron, a micro-nutrient that can often be deficient during flower...

Yeah, that's a small bonus that won't hurt, actually as you said, the opposite. At least it gives a little help. Only tried a similar thing myself once though, during my grow before this current one I'm now on. (8.5th day of flowering)

Hi Linda0012 I use 100 N - 50 P - 100 K ppm for the first 2 weeks of flower. you can use grow and bloom to reach this ppm. I start boosting P and K after 3 week of flowering and my peak numbers for week 7 to harvest are 60 N - 100 P - 200 K. always play with this numbers using the ppmremix to dial in your nutrients.

Thats a very smart early bloom "setter". Listen to Harley Smith. He knows what the hell hes talking about. I cant recommend anything on top of that except maybe a high cytokinin kelp/fulvic folair spray after intitial stretch slows down and first flowers appear. Adding kelp and slight phosphorus boost might make stretchier varieties really jump so make sure (if you know the strain) its applied when stretch slows down. About 10 to 14 days from the flip. According recent studies its high phosphorus in the initial changing of photoperiod that makes alot of varieties really leggy. Timing is everything.Good post btw!!!
