Early buds during seedling stage??

Hey Everyone,

I have a question regarding a recent grow. I have 5 seeds from a Dwarf LF Feminized Auto that I am growing, and I have grown 2 in hydro (GH organics, hydroton, LED lighting), 1 in promixHP and one in potting soil (testing). My 1 in hydro is growing great and all signs are go. My other hydro grew TALLER than my first with NO buds when the other one was fully blitzed and now #2 is popping many weeks later.

I have this 3rd one in traditional potting soil in the coco pot (see photo), and in the seedling stage hitting node #5 is has these buds on them, some with light brown pistils... I am confused.. how can I have 1 plant that gets to 2' tall and not a single bud, and I have this guy at 4" with each node having plump buds on them?? This plant is getting LESS light than the others (only running 2 x cree cxb 3070 at 100w ea) and it's already looking like this. The only difference is the grow medium and maybe a different nute schedule, but lighting is LESS than what the hydro plants got.

Setup for THIS plant (hydro isn't listed as I have them under control) was grown under CFL in a heated seedling tray, then moved to potting soil and used GH organics nutes under 18/6 lighting. THAT being said, I was using water from the main res which was Biothrive BLOOM (less nitrogen). Soil is just conventional potting soil. Would the nutes trigger this to happen?

The grow room is 62-65F (in a basement crawlspace) with 40-50% RH so - not optimal - but things are growing.

Different pheno types will differ in time to become mature enough to to flower but other than that not really sure about your actual question. Cannabis is photoperiodic which means it's cycles are controlled by exposure to light. Hope this helps

Remember that autos are crossed with ruderalis that naturaly look alot like the one in the pic. It could be a genetic thing or it may be budding due to a little less light.the other ones probably had more light and stayed in veg longer hence bigger plants

Well when you said genetics that was where I was at too. Then you mention Ruderalis and I noticed it looks very similar to the Ruderalis that was growing in my garden last year, except mine was a male.

Yeah the the 3 tip sun leaves are a dead giveaway.the way it's looking you might be ready for harvest in 3 weeks you might get 2 joints out of it lol

That makes sense as the BEST plant was properly lit, where this one is definitely not lit as well. Dang. I didn't know low light could trigger budding. I read from CropKing that the plants could be 24hr or 18/6 and still just flower 'whenever'. But I assume low light is the exception to this rule.... that seem right to you guys?

Yep sounds about right. Ruderalis is from central Asia where summer is short but days are about 22hours sun light and 2 hrs dark hence the very quick life cycle and the reason autos flower so quickly

I thought they grew in the Russian tundra? Northern Asia and Europe have days and nights that are long due being close to the pole but central Asia has normal day/night periods.

Northern Asia if you want to count Kazakhstan and Mongolia lol
