Early Harvest

I am growing a clone of Jack the Ripper indoors and have developed a spider mite problem. So far I don't think it's too bad and have released predator ladybugs.

The thing is that I am coming to the end of the 8th wk in flowering and the mites don't seem to be backing off . I have read that this strain is 8-9wks. Since this is my first grow, I would hate to lose it to pests.

Is it okay to chop the plant a little early? Will I be losing precious tric and resin development? Should I harvest before the mites get any worse?

Any advice with this strain will help and I do have pics if you guys want to see what I am dealing with.

You'll be losing out big time if you chop early. Read into gettin rid of the pests. Then let the plant finish properly.

Don't see any mites. J/k. Have you tried anything to get rid of them? Neem oil? A little dishsoap and water? How are the lady bugs working out?

The ladybugs seem to be doing their job. The problem has not gotten worse since I first noticed the prob. I've heard of the oils and sprays but have been told that it's too late in flowering to be putting anything on the buds. I am doing a 12/12 cycle; could I switch to a longer dark period to speed up the ripening? Any suggestions or should I continue as usual with the ladys?

Oooh, 8th week. Skimmed over that part. Definately too late for spraying with anything. You can try to speed up the flowering by doing 14 dark 10 light. Hope it works out for you. You don't wanna smoke bugs.
