i think it was because im not watering enough.. i water using a little spray bottle.. after i read your post i gave them a big watering and in about 3 or 4 hours they have opened up some.. not all the way but its better..

in those dixi cups at 80ish temp. i would say you would have to SOAK them every other day or so

yup they're PC fans. I used an old cell phone charger to power the two 80mm fans in my PC, and a wall charger for a rechargeable LED shop-light for the fans in my flowering box.

I made this diagram for another thread a while back showing how to wire up the fans and how I have them set up in my box. It might give you an idea for a passive intake setup. And you only need to filter the exhaust side, air will constantly be being pulled in through the intake so no smell should escape as long as thats the ONLY way air can come in.

hmm, that does give me ideas.. ill go to radioshack before work and mess with it when i get home tonight.. thanks a lot for the input, its really helping me out.. bublon, the plants all opened up today =) so u nailed it.. the next issue is atleast 1 of my plants leaves are wilting down some.. could that be caused from the tempurature chaning to much? cause this new box gets pretty hot. and at night it gets mid to low 70's... i should be taking care of that today with zlocks idea.. if i can fix the slight wilting. we"ll have some good looking babies here and ill be back on track.

hey zlock, i bought a couple 80mm thermaltake fans from radioshack.. i hooked one up with an old cell phone charger like u said but, it doesnt seem like its running at full speed.. any suggestions??

on the charger, what does it say as far as specs?

1 of them def. runs alittle better than the other.. they are thermaltake 80mm, 2000/10% rpm , 1.92w.. 12v rate voltage, 6v started voltage.. it does say its a low speed fan.. maybe they just dont run as fast as i expected.. i just hooked em up in the box.. so ill check the temps in a few hours.. and yes.. i hooked em both up on phone chargers

they seem the be doing the job right now.. ive been leaving 1 of my 3 lights off the last 2 days to keep the heat down. but right now im able to get all the lights on.. everything is back on track.. the plants look so much better.. thanks to both of you for helping me.. ill update with a few pics soon so you can see my new setup (which im still improving on) and the plants now around... 14 or 15 days old... cant remember now.. they are a bit small for there age if u ask me.. but thats just because of my small set backs...

heres the pics.. the new setup is small.. but does the job for me.. right now ive got 4 plants.. and thats way to many for this box.. in the future its going to be just a 2 plant box.. if i run out of room im going to put 2 of them outside.

so the new box is mad out of 2 cat litter containers... one stacked inside the other with the top ones floor cut out.. when they out grow the box. i can lift the top box up and it doubles its size so there is over 2 and half feet of grow room in there.. the fan on the side is an intake and the one on top is exhaust.. it creates a nice flow in there.. im going to work on something to block the light that comes out through the fans. so thats it.

the plants are 2 weeks old. they all are looking like they will grow a lot this next week. already in the last day and half (since i got them to flatten out) theres been alot of new foliage showing up.. let me know what u guys think

if u have a little cash u can spend go to wall-mart and buy 2 big rubbermaid storage containers flip one upside down and put it on top of the other line it with aluminum foil and bada bing a grow room for 4. and as far as fans i dont know how much u spent but i would go with a inline fan from home dept. for like 15$.

i started with the rubbermaid stuff. i thought about doing the stack.. i like my small setup.. its got the same height as the double rubbermaid. just room for 2... which im fine with. im really happy with my set up now.

unique, and I like it! I'd say it looks like you should be able to make it work for two plants, and screw it, finish them off in there! its your first grow, right? My first grow was 3 plants I adopted inside the PC case that I'm veg'ing in now, and I ended up with two females, gave one to a friend, and got 1.5 grams off a very unhappy plant in the end, but the amount I learned was worth it! I'm finishing up round 2 (from clones given to me) and starting round 3 (the ones I'm trying to start now), and I'm learning more and more every day. I started off thinking that I would be growing in a PC case for quite a while, but towards the end of my first grow I started building the box I'm flowering in now. And now I'm thinking about going a step further and getting a 150w HPS to replace the CFL's.
Once I have a better place to grow (aka more space), I'm sure I'll be stepping up to a much more powerful setup. Growing is addictive, I can go a day or two without smoking if I'm REALLY busy with work and school, but I spend probably half an hour MINIMUM every day with my plants.

I think your plants are looking good. If I were you, I would plan on flipping them to 12/12 once they're a little bit bigger to weed out the males, and I'll have my fingers crossed that two of them are girls and two are males, that way you wont have to try and pick which ones to keep and which ones to ditch. Once you sex them, either let them keep going or switch back to 24/0 or 18/6 and let them veg a bit longer before you let them flower.

My W.Widow is about the same size as your E.Misty's are, I'm anxious to see how our grows turn out!

im probably going to give em 2 more weeks than switch em to 12/12.. i know this growing is addictive.. i cant wait to get home from work and check my plants every night.. they are growing so much right now so its exciting.. my big plant is just blowing up now.. im happy with my grow box it had alittle more space than the pc cases and gets almost 2 times as tall, so i think ill be fine in there.. just flower em early and use some LST.. it will grow enough for me.. i only smoke once a day (after work) and its only like 1 bowl.. so weed lasts me a long time.. ive seen some of your pics.. but do u have a journal for your white widow?

I'm an on and off frequent smoker... I'll go a week or two smoking 3 or 4 times a day (before work, on my lunch break at work, after work, and before I go to bed), then I'll go a week or two smoking just once or twice a day, but I mostly vaporize, so I hear ya on a little bit lasting a long time. Bought a quarter 3 weeks ago and still have probably 1/3 of it left. (True, I did chop down my Jorges Diamond and have been smoking that occasionally)
My "Aurora Indica" thread has turned into whats going to end up being my never-ending grow journal. I havn't been putting much up as far as pictures 'cause theres not much going on, but I'm updating it as I write this, so check it out!

as i need to make my box higher ill post pics to show u how it works.. the plants are growing like crazy right now.. so probably pretty soon ill bring it up like 3 or 4 inches..
