Early Pearl, Early Girl, Early Outdoor for northern climate?!

Hi RIU' ers

I need some input...first hand experience...guesses...thoughts

First of all the Problem.
I only have one Strain that works well outdoor. Its getting boring. Thats why I searched for new photoperiod plants that will work.
My climate is pretty good but its absolutely a must that the plants start to flower early. I would judge 50% of the years, the fall weather allows me to go up to as late as late October maybe first week of november is absolute max and rare, and only if its dry and sunny.
Other 50% when September is wet and not sunny I can run into mold and mildew problems.
That means early flowering and good resistance/tolerance to both is needed.
My acrual outdoor test batch started flowering a week ago and thats too late. But they all go just around 60days so finish around end of october.
if weather is ok and they have some resistance it could work.
But mid end September for finish would be ideal.

Now the plan I followed for years was to test every indoor plant I run in our outdoor enviroment too. That plan was a failure! Lol
They all start flowering too late.
So sometimes its useless growing them outdoors here and also outcrossing my old strain with it.
That would just result in a later flowering start time for the old strain.

Now I plan a radical change.
I think about using this old early lines mentioned in the thread name, made for northern climate.
Ok I heard its all just medium quality at best, but early.
Now ok quality can be upped by selection and linebreeding or outcrossing.
But early is what I am looking for.
Photoperiod only!

Do you have any experience with the early pearl or early girl line?

Do you know any very early strains that are available other than those (moderate northern climate)?

Please post

Any helpful suggestions or experience or ideas are very welcome!

Thinking about early girl early pearl and maybe purple #1 for 2019.
Would like to find a private source but if not I think I go with Sensi.

Peace and have fun ya all!!

I do Bro.

Its just hard to find good outdoor strains.
I want something hardy that works every year.
I wasted lots of time with the old plan.
Now I want to collect as much info on the early lines because I dont want to loose more time by not getting all info possible.
I only grow for myself and if I can harvest a good a load outdoor I can minimize my indoor. Did that with the old strain often enough but its getting boring.

I have a super short season and purple og kush #18 by reserva privada never fails me. It's fire and super mold resistant.
That sounds promising!
I have got a og strain gifted.
Planned to try it indoor next year.
Can not be wrong to test a clone outdoors aswell!

Sorry to hear that!
Thats the problem with many big so called established breeders today.
But that wasnt the same back in the days Bro.
When I had my verry first grow I was 18/19 yrs old that was back in 1992/93, seeds were still legal here but growing not.
You could buy sensi seeds the entire catalog in the bong shop, down town.lol
So I bought skunk #1, Shiva Shanti, and super skunk.
I had a 400 watt light and mom got pretty much paranoid when she recognised my "grow space".
Never tryed hiding it from her.
But she was cool! 100% tolerant hippie mom is what I had. Best mom ever RIP.
And back then even some strains from sensi were fire.
Skunk #1 was even shitty back then except one plant all were medium bullshit but one was good smelled like fresh dogshit and gave a good hit. The shivas were strong and the most productive in the run. But it was pure sleeping meds. I gifted a friend who suffers insomnia most of the shiva.
The best was the super skunk. The buds looked exactly like in the catalog from that years!
And man that was good smoke. Big calyxes realy huge! Smooth smoke totaly balanced high.
I remember that I tryed to clone em by just cutting lower branches and just plugged it into the pots of the mothers. Man how pissed I was when they started to wilt.lol

Tested many years later skunk #1 and super skunk from sensi again and all were shitty plants.
They seem to have lost many motherplants in an event of changed laws or something in NL.

Peace

I didn't grow it this yr and I'm kicking myself a bit. Yeah they go out of stock often If that tells you anything.
Really stanky smell tho....you have to triple bag it lol. Walked into a bar one time with an 8th on me and a guy at the far end of the bar started clapping his hands and wanted to know if I would share lol.

Haha yes it tells me something.
Funny, your gig in the Bar!!!

I have a good one too......
I mentioned above the one plant of skunk #1 in my first grow^^^ lol realy smelled hardcore like dogshit.
You could double triple pack it and still every body would watch you like a Alien and would try to bring as many space between you and him as possible.
Everybody just wants to stay away.
And...
There was this girl.....
I was young she too. I found her hot. Got a date with her. My buddy told me that she likes weed.
So I took some of the skunk that smelled like a big pile of fresh dogshit in a ziplock baggie with me in the pocket of my 501.(It was a the second best smoke in the batch so I didnt offer her the bullshit ya know)
I was burning for her and I knew she felt the same. I picked her up with my first car a big ol ship.
I drove her to the beach of the river.
When we were on the beach we chatted and I did try to get closer to her, but she always managed enough space between us. I asked myself why. had no idea. Was irritated. So I asked her if we want to smoke a joint and watch the sunset.
She said "yes... cool".
So I gave her the ziplock.
She was saying something like..
"Wtf dude???... its that what I smelled the whole time!!!...I tought you sat or stepped in some dogshit before you picked me up."

I'm looking for the same answers as well.
I'm looking for some killer strains- (nothing mediocre) that will finish outdoors by the end of September in the PNW.
I'm very tempted by the strains the Canadian breeders offer.
