Early Signs of sexing

Day 16 under 2 430 hps one with MH conversion bulb 18/6. First lighter photo shows all stalk and no branching, typical male characteristics. Second darker photos shows shorter fuller plants with more branching, characteristic of likely females. Couple more weeks of veging and we'll see if the theory holds water. Grow medium is perlite/vermiculite 2-1 with miracle gro on top. They were germed in vermiculite which really is an idiot proof medium as the plant can turn so easily even if you don't get the right side up.

Don't think you can use those reasons to determine sex yet. It's true that typically males grow slightly slimmer than that of females, but it is not a rule to decide sex. Wait untill 7-9 leafsets - then you'll see preflowers - mostly easiest to find the females here due to small white hairs.
Hope this helps you find out what's what ;O))

Every male I've ever had has been short, bushy, green and fucking beautiful ~ which just brings me more disappoinment when they turn out to be males.

Yeah - males can look just as lush as the girls. Once had a green house with 8 big nice lush plants - when fall came 7 had balls ;O) - that's just tough.

Good luck with your experiment. many have led before you.... there is only one way to know the sex of a plant for sure....

there are different phenotypes even in the most refined strains. If you have a hybrid than your likely gonna end up with a plant or so that favors the Sativa side and the same with the Indica side.

The varieties I'm growing are EDIT's (which I would strongly not recommend) Sensi Seeds Hindu Kush, Reserve Privada Pakistani and Rasberry Cough from Sativa seedbank. You guys are right, you never know 'till 12/12.
