20180424_235010.jpg 20180424_235054.jpg First time posting. I learned everything I know from all of you here and the more i learn and apply the more I love watching my cannabis grow. It really is an incredible plant, such controversy and politics attached to it...and that's not its nature!

So here is my set up.
3 42watt 6750k cfl 2 inch away
1 50watt led 12inch away
Schults organic premium potting soil ph 7

Fertilome npk 20-20-20 every other feed at 3/4 strength
Just used CalMag yesterday. In soil and foliar spray.

White widow. Veg week 4.
Did Lst week ago

After Lst I had explosive growth. The new tops had this lime green yellow pale color seen in the pics. Most improved most tge way. This one in the picture all white is not.

WHAT IS WRONG?

CANT BE NITROGEN RIGHT?
my ph is 7.5 I just tested it.

7.5 is out of range. It's almost certainly nutrient lockout from ph.

You learned about Schult potting soil and Fertilome here??? I never heard of it. It could be simple light bleaching though.

So I need to lower it? From what I understand in order to do that I need to take a gallon of water drop some lemon concentrate or vinegar into it until it's reading about 6 or 6.8 on the ph and then I need to dump that into my soil until it starts coming out the bottom?

Yeah looking like ph/lock-out issues, it seems to be affecting only new growth so you'll want to get that fixed right away, plant looks decent otherwise so whatever the issue is it's recent. Look back at any changes you made in the last week or so for clues on how it got to this stage. It's one thing to fix it, but you also want to avoid it in the future.

I started using fertilizers. Prior to that I did not. I thought that ph problems would allude me. So I fixed up a solution of cal mag and weak fertilizer, then vinigar until I was getting a 6ph reading. I then dumped it in my soil until I was getting run off.
Soil now reads at 6.3 ph.

I put it in the sun today too. I occasionally give her a few hours in sun. I decided to hiping it would help bounce back.

Am I on the right track now with a lower ph?20180425_143927.jpg

Ok that makes some sense too, if you started feeding it some of that yellow could be burn, although you'll usually see burn first at the leaf tips and that's not there. Slowly start feeding at low amounts and increase slowly to find the right amount. Use about 1/2 or less of whatever the nutrient manufacturer recommends to start. Keep an eye on the ph as it can fluctuate, normally in soil though there's not much movement or worry about ph, could be your soil is a bit off too. One thing I've noticed recently too is almost every bag of soil/brand is adding slow release fertilizers in their soil mixes. Be careful with that, I grabbed some last winter when I couldn't get my normal soil and it burned the shit out of my plants until I realized it had slow release ferts in it.

Sun is never a bad thing, but be careful putting your plants inside/outside as they can pick up nasty bugs and track them indoor. I only switch plants one way, form indoor to outdoor, never back indoor, have had some nasty bug infestations way back when doing that. Plant looks pretty good other than the extreme yellow on some of the new growth, looks healthy so should bounce back and correct itself. Keep an eye on the bright yellow areas, that's the new growth and you want that growth to be green, sometimes lighter green, but green, definitely not bright yellow ;)

Yeah after I did low stress training when it was two weeks into veg in about 8 in tall it really exploded with growth and the new shoots started turning that yellow lime green color some of them ended up turning green so I figured it was just from the rapid growth but the pH issue makes sense now I hope that it bounces back because I'm only thinking another week before I put it into flower.
I guess that reminds me of another question do I need to wait until there are pre flowers or alternating nodes to put it into 1212 or can I instigate that before it is sexually mature

Yeah I'd give it a week or two just so it's growing healthy new growth and stable before flipping. Ideally you should wait to flip until it shows sex. Not necessary but they seem to do better if they're flipped once they sex. That said, I've flipped clones with a week of going into 1gal's and run 12/12 straight from seed, they all grow out and produce bud.

6.3 is about perfect.

Went to tge hydro shop and got a ph kit. Purchased reverse osmosis water and got a gallon of ph 6.3. Dumped it in my runoff is now at 6.3

Does this mean my soil ph is down now? Can I presume that she will now start getting nutrients that were locked out before?1524764539695781598827.jpg

Ideal range is in the 6-6.5 range so you should be fine, remember they'll take a few days to recover but you should be good to go.
