Easy Rider Almost There!

Well, I'm cutting to the chase and starting my grow journal a day before i harvest one of my plants.

the reason for this grow is my job and life now need more discretion, and I have to stop trying to purchase weed through people I know. this is just for my wife and I, and although we are not heavy smokers, ( i used to be) we like toking up and don't want friends and family to know anymore.

This was my first grow ever. I did indoors with CFLS growing the short friendly Easy Ryders. I had some issues with nute deficiencies and when I started flushing one of my plants had issues with changes in PH or something and the leaves quickly started to brown out. Interestingly enough this one has matured at least a week before the other ones.

It also never grew a main cola, but 5 even ones. the other 2 grew a main larger cola. What was interesting was that I treated, fed and watered them all pretty the same. in the pic the one on the right is faring the best. The one on the right got the least amount of FAN AAIR blowing on it. maybe the others were drying out too much. I stopped using the fan about 20 days ago.

I put a beer can in the pic for perspective, as when I look at people's plants I cant tell how big or small they are.

I checked the trichomes on the middle one with the radio shack $12 microscope, it has about 20% amber.

I did the thumbtack trick yesterday on the stems for the hell of it, and I am going to harvest tonight. The other plants are not ready yet.

I have to say if it wasn't for this forum I wouldn't have been able to do this. thanks to all of you.

yes, although I think I can do better next time with controlling nutrients, I am happy with the results. I'd like to try White Widow next.

on a side note, my stealth grow passed a plumber, an electrician and my parents standing in the basement room 2 feet from the grow without them smelling it thanks to this forum.

let the other ones go longer though like till 50 percent amber. its worth it

thanks! will do. the other 2 are still doing fine. I'd say no longer than a week and they will be ready.

I might quick dry a small dab tonight of the harvested and see where the high is.

i'll let ya know!

also remember that potency is greatly affected by the cure, a good cure can take a month before the buds at its prime. You will not get the full affect from a quick cure, but i am sure your impatient like me. I to can not wait to smoke a new crop.

never tried the AK. this is an AK/lowryder hybrid so I am assuming it is similar. I still haven't "uber-smoked out" as it is not properly dried/cured yet.

but i gots hiiiiiiiiggghhhh.....

just harvested the second plant. trichs were about 40-50% amber. about the same wet weight, but more buds, less stem.

I am not a heavy smoker..looks like I might have a lot of pot for a long time. lol

Hey everyone! I am also growing some easy ryders. I started out with CFL's until my friend had let me borrow his 400w hps/mh yesterday for the time being. My easy ryders have been in the soil for about 20 days now and still no signs of pistels. I mean I know they are feminized, but with this being my first grow, I just want to see some action already. I was wondering if anyone knows how much the electricity bill may jump up to from using a 400w grow light. I would hate to have to give the light back to my friend when I'm pretty sure that using this light with significantly produce more weight than using CFL's. By the way, nice grow beav, very well done.

I used about 300w of cfls, I really think at the end of aug you will not care about the electric bill, unless someone else cares. you will see those sweet plants growing bud ( I ran mine 20 on 4 off the whole time) and you'll be like " electric bill? screw it"

so what did you do for smell bc i heard they can smell up 1/3 of a 1 story house ?........also did u top any of these i heard easy ryder branches alot but that just looks so nice ? lol one more question how about weight dry ?
