Easy Ryder Autoflower Grow

So I am starting a grow with an autoflowering strain called Easy Ryder9(AK-47xLowryder) from Attitude Seedbank.

I have a 600watt eye hortilux enhanced HPS and I'll use a 20 hour on 4 off schedule for the entire grow. I think I'll use flourescents until the first true leaves show at around 9-10 days, maybe sooner.

My trouble is that I can't decide on nutrients since the feeding schedule is different then normal strains. I was thinking of using Canna Bio Vega and Flores along with their Bio Canna Terra medium, a pro-mix or a fox-farm mix. I thought I cold use some canna rhizotonic and then cannazyme at first to simulate the roots along with Vega unil signs of flowering show. Then I could switch to Flores with some Bio Boost for increased yield. Also I was considering using Mayan Microzyme for the beneficial critters and what not. Each seed is going to be germinated and planted directly into a 2 or 3 gal pot.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Good choice of strain, IMO.

The Flora Nova line of nutes is pretty good. But from what I've read, with a normal soil/perlite/castings mix, no nutes will be needed until 3rd or 4th week. Not sure, though.

Cannabis does indeed seem to be very like a weed, in that it doesn't need much. In my experience, with nutrients/fertilizer/water, less is more.

I too am growing this strain, along with a couple of other auto strains. I have been growing Lowryder 2's for about a year and a half so I have some experience with autos. You are correct in what you said about them being different than other strains with nutes. I don't add anything until the 3rd week (except thrive alive green), I use bio bizz all mix soil, and I use Earth Juice nutrients. When I do start to add nutes I try to follow the guide written by the Joint Doctor (the creator of Lowryder strains, see link below). I did use the Dyna-Gro Grow and Bloom nutrients when I first started out but I like the organic nutes alot better because they won't burn your plants and they don't contain any salt building chemicals.

Thanks for the input fellers :)

That link was really helpful Chunky. It reaffirmed my plan. I am going to treat them like babies the first 3 weeks using only Rhizotonic for a transplant type of feeding program then switch to a bloom. Also I'm leaving them under fluorescents until about the 3rd week. I got a root stimulant and innoculant because every guide for AF strains says that they increase growth and yield significantly.

The Joint Dr mentioned Advanced Nutrients too and I ordered some Voodoo Juice(stimulant/innoculant) from them. I am definately being as organic as possible. I'm going with Canna Rhizotonic, BioCanna Vega & Flores, and Voodoo Juice in the Happy Frog soil mix by Fox Farm. I cut the list so I wouldn't over do it, but I think this mix of nutes will make for an awesome grow.

What do yall think??

Peace

That sounds like a good arsenal for auto's. It will be good to see how each of our grows compare to one another.

By the way, here's a little Positive rep for a good start to your grow.

Im growing 5 easy ryders (well my friends are and they're staying at my friends house cos his parents are fine with it). We're splitting the yield three ways.

Two will be grown inside and three outside. They were germinating yesterday im going to check on them 2day. We need to decide on nutes, ill start a grow journal in a few weeks.

Good luck with your grow, i heard that one easy ryder can yield 2.5 oz per plant

Ya man I think these plants could do real well outdoors in the right conditions. The yield is supposed to be between 30-50 grams per plant but there was a report of someone geting like 96 grams off one!Now idk if that is completely true but that would be awesome.

My advise to you would be to get a root stimulant/innnoculants along with whatever nutes you decide on. The stimulated root growth has a big affect on your yield especially in plants with as short a lifespan as these, giving them a good headstart can really increase the yield. Plus root innoculants help protect against pests and diseases which could be a problem outside.

Best of luck bro

thanks mate, ill bear that in mind.

4 out of 5 seeds germinated but the one that looked a different colour still hasnt germinated. Anyone know why??? Because its a much lighter colour than all the others and it still hasnt cracked or anything in the paper towel method, does that mean it wont germinate?

or is there still hope.. :-|

If it hasn't been more than 5-7 days I'd say there's hope.

Try poking some holes in the bottom of a plastic baggie with a thumbtack or something then putting the moist paper towels inside, seal it up and tape the baggie to the inside of a box or something, just so long as it stands upright. This way excess water can drain from the baggie and seeds can grow a taproot downward naturally. Just open the baggie every once in awhile to check the seeds and mist if they need moisture, it could take a few days to sprout them all and some will have more vigour, that's normal.

4 out of 5 is good but I think you still have a chance to get all five :)

Good luck bro

yep all is good now, they've all germinated and they're in the soil now.

Now its just a waiting game...

I Ordered my AKxLR seeds a few weeks ago along with poisin dwwarff. 5/5 germ ratio for AK and surprisingly 6/10 for dwarfs. The dwarfs ended up being all males! So at week 3 on these babies I am starting to see some serious undergrowth and overall develeopment! Can i take a male poisin D and polinate the AK autoflower with each other ?

Hey dirtysouthdoper, you can pollinate any female with any male, hi I'm captain obvious, lol, anyhoo I'd say go for it broseph. What could it hurt? The best thing about cannabis, in my opinion, is it's versatility and it's variety, which is ever increasing. Cross 'em, make some seeds, have some fun, and if you make a sick ass new cultivar hit me up and let me know how to get ahold of some of dem seeds, haha.

Best of luck bro :)

Hey there lehua! Thanks for the kindness. Ya my mind is usually racing, bud helps me level out and think deeply, lol. My goal is to become a breeder and creator of fine cannabis strains, spred the love around the world. I'm only 20 but I've been fillin' my noggin for years and I can't imagine what the next 20 years have in store for me. If I can help anyone or give some good advice I will without hesitation.

I suggest you plant them in smaller pots until you find out the sex. Thats just my opinion because I don't like to reuse soil :(

Hello everyone! I had ordered some easy ryder's as which the usps said touched down in NYC on the 30th of June. It is now the 4th of July and still no arrival. Should I be worried at all about the package? Happy 4th to you all!
