what do they mean by EC levels?

EC means electrical conductivity. It is a way of measuring total dissolved solids in water. it is often converted into a ppm measure, but you need to know what kind of conversion factor your meter uses if you want to monitor ppm. EC is probably better. I assume you know that all of this is for measuring nutrient level in a hydro reservoir?

thanks for answering my question, and yes i know this is for hydro and that is why i'm asking. looking to branch out and grow some in hydro and some in dirt, just want to get my shit straight before i do.
