edibles?

what is the current status for edibles? edible exemptions? How does anybody get in the edible business with 6 plant/2.5 ounce output caps? anybody made the leap?

You need a health inspection of your kitchen facilities to produce edibles for others to consume.

I don't think you would be able to do edibles only as a business, there are only a few dispensaries in the state. I don't think you can sell to anyone other than your patients. Could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure

Edibles are legal. In theory, only the weight of the cannabinoids contained therein counts against limits. Since only dry plant matter counts against limits, once you soak the trim for extraction it it removed from your quota. I have a caregiver friend who is making lollipops that people like quite a bit.

Yeah, I make a lot of brownies using the veg oil method. Patients love 'em. I gotta get that lollipop recipe though lol

Maybe he'll pm me with it :)

to be legal one must have a commercial kitchen license in order to produce edibles for patients to buy....one also cannot sell to dispensaries....as a patient I make cooking oil for me and donate it to any patients that want to make their own edibles.....

If i were slyly referring to myself i would happily send you the recipe. It really is a friend, and i'm fairly certain he doesn't post on RIU anymore. He's never posted in here, at least.

Ahh, no I thought it was someone else lol. The person I am thinking of is likely to see the post however, so we'll see :)

You know I've never had good luck with edibles. Even after eating way more than I should and waiting hours upon hours I rarely feel anything. It makes me very sad :(.

I've tried stuff I made myself, stuff made by friends, made stuff with varying methods, even got a brownie once someone got from a dispensary. Nothing.

I don't like how it tastes, so I have been making pills. Coconut oil and dry ice hash. Still not sure how long I have to heat it.

Thanks.

One thing I keep noticing is people saying you can't use V caps. I am guessing they have never tried it, and are just repeating something someone else told them. Or maybe it depends on brand.

- size 00 GELATIN capsules.. they must be gelatin, if you use vegetarian,

they'll disintegrate before you can use them.

But if you must use V caps, you'll have to take them almost immediately, and I'd

recommend making your hash concentrate in advance, freezing it, and defrosting what

you need, as you need it, just enough to fill a days supply of caps.
I have had some sitting out at room temp for over a week, and they are fine. I am using "Now" brand.
