Eight Light Op From Start to Finish in Pictures

Welcome to the jungle! At 2 weeks several plants are up into the lights. The plants are more healthy - but too tall. Light will be an issue as the tall ones begin to shade the rest. I'll be fighting these babies all the way to keep the buds from flopping into the aisle. There will be lots of larf too; I didn't pop em or top em the way I normally would. Growing is alot like cooking--it's all timing! I definitely left myself some room for improvement ;-)

Very unfortunate about the height issue but theyre looking great now. What are the temps at the top of the ones at the lights, and what is the growing medium?

Hey Alien! Yeah - I was suspending buds from the ceiling to get through this one! Yeah they are on track now - just too damn big! hahaha

The temps at the lights were much lower than you'd expect - less than 80F. The Magnum XXXL are intended to run 1000w bulbs, so the 600w in the 8" hood is very cool. I think the average intake air temps were about 57F or less in the evenings, so that was plenty of differential to cool the lights nicely.

Turned into a jungle lol looks nice and healthy
Hellraiser! What's up man! Nice to talk to you again. Looks like you've been busy - nice work!

Yeah, this first run was wild. I was busy with several projects at the time and just had to let nature run her course on this round. I followed the standard plan on subsequent runs and have since tamed this zone!

The jungle is looking pretty good at the half-way mark, Day 29. Of course the under canopy is wasting all sorts of energy developing larf down below! Normally, I grow the OG without ANY larf, but poor management left me with these overgrown beasts! hahaha It's all good - this round still yielded some of the finest medicine (but harvest and trimming were a bit more tedious - ok, a lot more tedious!).

Things are getting frosted now, but the crowded conditions are evident in the buds. Normally, this strain of OG is quite a bit more mature and juicy. We need a little more light in here too - of course growing your plants into the lights doesn't help your situation at all! ;-)

In general, I had the room pretty stable at this point -- I needed to mess with my temp and humidity set points daily -- but overall it's really easy to tend, and turn, this zone.
