im going to use 3 800wtt dual ballasts (cool tubes), all 3 in line in on a 12 foot rail (which i may not even need). I will run ducts to all 3 hood directly outside using an inline fan (its an attic space, it will be lined up along the peak of the home) plus and fresh air intake and with 4 ceiling vents (id like control over the ceiling vents and will have it depending on budget) ill be runnig some floros for clones and a 250mh over my mom, i am goin to buy a climate control switch so my c02 and air flo are in sync. Add 4 wal-mart fans and thats it all the electricity ill need is stated above.

Now for my question. The space isn't wired yet, any suggestions on how to power my space? How do i go about asking my electrical guy to do this. I laments terms what do i ask for 220, 120 breaker box etc. I do know i want at least 4 grounded outlets so please any advice is appreciated.

Well....to give you some ideas for comparision, I have 12 separete circuit to run my little room, 4 flood and drain table. and a clones stand. I do have enough space for a few more when I get to the point of adding co2.
I recommend you buy a book about installing electric. I used Wiring Simplified. $10.95 at home depot. You may find you could do this work yourself. It would depend on the amperage of your service entrance and how many spaces you have open in your existing panel. Look at the breaker at the top, the one that says main. The amps will be listed on it. I would say you would need to have at least 150 amp service to add that type of operation to your existing house load. When I installed mine it was only a hundred bucks more or so to go with 200 amp service, way more than I need, some one else could use welders and not over load the service. It tricky to explain to an electrician why you want to have 12 circuits in 12' x by 10' room. Doing the work is easy as abc, 123, black, white, green; gold, silver, copper; hot wire, ground wire, gounded wire. VV

For your lights you should run a 220v 30 amp circuit. This will support 4000 watts of lights if you want to expand your system. A 20 amp 110 volt should support the rest. You could run a 2nd 20 amp 110v for more headroom. Just do the math. To be safe allow yourself 20% headroom. I allow for 30% headroom. Your lights on a timer turn on at the same time and send a huge current spike.

Watts / Volts = Amps 4000/220=18.8 Amps

220 volt for your lights is safer and will save a little money on the bill. 120 volt circuit will run hot and could be a fire hazard. Resistance increase on a 110 volt light circuit from a longer run of cable will cost you more money due to ineffiecency and if you feel a 120 volt line running a lot of current it gets hot.

It can't hurt running as manny circuits as VictorVIcious but that's way overkill.

I just wired my room which will start with 2000 watt lights and might move to 4000 Watts down the road and ran a 220 volt 30 amp circuit. You will need to run 10/3 electrical cable for the cuircut $110 for 100' and $9 for the 30 amp breaker. Loews or Home Depot. A 220 volt circuit is just a dual 110 which is much more efficiently.
