Elemental Seeds coming to the tude

I have a 5th Element freebie in flower right now. It's a lanky bitch, always hungry and stretched 2ft since flipping to 12/12. It's flowering pretty fast, will probably be an early finisher and a heavy yielder like the description said.

I've thought about the price points on seeds quite a bit. On the one hand it is kind of insane when you think about it. A seeded plant (from what I've heard) easily produces 5,000 viable seeds. At $10 a pop that's a cool $50,000....per plant!
I got over 1000 seeds just by pollenating side branches on three medium sized indoor plants in a 4x4 tent, so off an outdoor plant we're talking pounds of seeds. Well over 5,000 for sure.

Damn that is a lucrative task! :P if a plant really produces 5,000 seeds they are charging way too much lol.
I was actually shocked at how many seeds I had once I counted them all. I was only looking to get 100 seeds tops because I only collected a very small amount of pollen as well.
One buddha's dream males and 3 critical sensi star females. I've got four females vegging and ready to flower once I can fit them in. Once I test them I will probably keep a few hundred and gift the rest out, as long as the plants are good. #4 leaf.jpg

Thanks man. I just dapped a qtip in pollen and then lightly tapped it over the buds I wanted pollenated, with fans and exhaust off, at about 3 week flower mark and let them run till finished. A little puff of pollen would fall over the buds, this is why I ended up with some many seeds shit floats like weaponized biological agents. Before I would use a qtip to rub the pollen on but that usually only yielded 10-20 per plant. Cheers.

Yeah, it is very hard to justify seed prices IMO. I only pollenate one branch when I am crossing and still end up with 100+ seeds from a small side branch. The first time I pollenated, I got pollen everywhere and ended up with a plant entirely loaded with seeds, I was giving away handfuls and threw away handfuls and still kept 100s of seeds.

I got some freebies from the tude.
True berry and gummy bear. Both turned out to be male.
I'll be staying away from elemental in future.
What? Were they feminized seeds that ended up being male? Or were they regular seeds and you just had bad luck?

I had 4 of 6 True OG turn male. It was like they were full-on male and not herm.? The two that made it are stable and they produce decent for an OG, but still OG yields! One that I had was "cat-piss", like I thought that a cat had really pissed in my car. The other was more fruity...
My Trueberry has a pure black licorice smell/flavor and I dont like that flavor.
My gummy bears never really filled out.
5th element was pretty cool. Mine was def not a sativa though. It smelled like sour breath and tasted OG. It matured fast, big, and had nice frosting on it. Trueberry had yield and was probably the most frosted, but I just dont like black licorice!

All were cut at week 8. I have found the ones that I want to invest more time with and next round will be at least 10wks.

I am sure they are glad to have taken everyones money, wonder if they will ever restock or let the company die. I hate to say it but I would rather buy cali connection than deal with this shit again. Every single plant was a banana thrower and half were males. Not sure that I would ever want to be in a room with these guys again. I would have to ask them all these uncomfortable questions.

I pulled 2 1/2 ounces off it, topped once and grown with 150w LED, the tops were in the 4-5g range. It didn't finish as fast as I thought it would; I ended up taking it to 10 weeks, they advertise 8 weeks.

It didn't have any smell in flower, you could touch a bud and still smell nothing on your hand but it's in the third week of curing and has developed a nice sour smell with a little bit of earthiness which comes through in the taste.

It was about 10-15% amber when I chopped it and the high is all head, no body high to speak of. It'd be a good strain for a SCRoG grow or cash croppers, very good bud production and density.

Nice, im considering it for an outdoor grow. Looking for a big yeild with nice smoke. Its a toss up between this and the bubbas gift but the no smell in flower is sounding good for me as it will be more stealth.

Im in australia and just planning my outdoor early!

That's rough to hear about the instability, I've got a fuck ton of og/chem/sour so passed on all those at their booth in Denver so I grabbed Mango Tango and Peach Dreams...just a 100 bucks for two 10 packs of regular seeds so no huge loss if they don't turn out, only concern would be an unintentional breeding project occurring...I'm starting to feel like KA, used to be my policy too, if there isn't a journal and a smoke report from a few testers then it's likely just a sales scheme...all these new units with awards and accolades but not a single garden documented, hell they barely even give strain descriptions any more. In defense of said outfits though, most of them are operating in some form of collective and patients in their local circles may full well have extensive knowledge and access to info so they(seedcos) don't really have care about much more than making money off people on the Internet. Not saying I'll be the same way ever, but I anticipate this from future competition as soon as my state has a green gold rush. I am a paraplegic so you can bet your ass when Kansas legalizes I'll be looking forward to getting in the industry and off of disability, just tough finding work that has insurance to cover my supplies and med costs when you've gotta stop n pee every 20 minutes or have a day with wheelchair issues that they just don't understand. My state has only birthed two famous strains I can name, Trinity and Golden Goat, I see guys like Ken Estes out in Cali and think "well hell yeah, there is something I can provide.." a good eye for dank an extremely critical pallet. I moved to Colorado and grew for a while but moved back to Kansas for my family, now I'm just twiddling my green thumbs and sharpening my trimming scissors. Any who that went off track, sorry to bomb out the Elemental Seeds thread.
