How much does your eletricity cost.

I want to build a spread sheet that show how much it cost to run the grow room.

It will be a guesstament but it will be close.

Mine is 8 cents a KWH

Don't give to much info so that it gives away your location.

I think mine is about .083 KW/H.

Its about a 10er a week,

This includes my 400w hps light, 1 12" oscillating fan and a 4" extractor fan also my pc on 24/7 and all the other household stuff that gets used in the week.

So its less then £10 just for my grow room, Its good as I have a meater and no bill, so I know what im useing and when.!!!

This is a sweet chart from Sunlight Supply Co.that shows electrical usage of many of their ballasts/fixtures. It is interchangeable with other manufacturers gear. Find the hours per day..the kwh price in yer area...and the size of yer light...and bam..yer in the ballpark on yer monthly cost to operate that light.

to calc elec cost for 6wks veg 18/6 and 9wks bud 12/12 use 756hrs for each stage, 1512 hrs total.

9wks of 12hr/day using 100w at 10c/kwh
756hr x .1kw x $.1 = $7.56

if elec costs 15c/kwh and we start off with one 55w 6400k cfl then add another at 2 weeks and finally change to 3 x 55w 2700k cfl for budding, then
(2wks)252hrs x .055kw x .15 = $2.08
(4wks)504hrs x .110kw x .15 = $8.32
(9wks)756hrs x .165kw x .15 = $18.71
15wks grow for a lighting cost of $29.11

756hrs x 250w x 15c/kW = $ 28.35
756hrs x 400w x 15c/kW = $ 45.36
756hrs x 600w x 15c/kW = $ 68.71
756hrs x 1000w x 15c/kW = $113.40

I have no idea of the cost break down but my setup costs about $60 a month in 12/12 and abot $120 in 24 hour time
