EM1 vs other innoculants

EM1 seems to be a pretty common go-to for this board, but I was wondering if anybody was familiar with some of the other bacterial innoculants around...

I have a sample of some stuff called Photosynthesis Plus by Microbe Life Hydro, been sitting since last year (still within shelf life), but I've been nervous to use it. Most of the microbes appear to be beneficial soil microbes, but a few species I couldn't dig up any agricultural info...

I have watched a few videos of the process of creating home brew EM, (rice wash and cheese kurd straining). EM1 is a trademarked product has a few other goodies in it including some yeast species and wheat bran.

I have been tying to find some info on how to add these other ingredients to the brew. Yeast and wheat bran are super cheap and EM is easy to make if you have good temps.

That's another point... I appreciate how EM1 gives you the info to ferment their product to make more.
I have this stuff that makes 10 gallons (it IS just a sample), they make a big point about "fermented in the bottle" but what about "fermented in the feed tank"?
