EMERGENCY No more PH up what can I use.

Hello guys res change day and I ran out of PH up. I thought I had enough but I guess not. I get paid tomorrow and planned to get more but what can I use right now? Lights are out at 9:00AM so I need to hurry. Will baking soda work

I am all set sorry for wasting your time fellas. I was just in a panic as I only had 20 minute to figure it out LOL. Baking sode worked like a charm.

Or you could just go to home depot and pick up more

A hydroxide. pH up is just potassium hydroxide, and some brands add some potassium carbonate as a buffer. The most common hydroxide found in most homes is sodium hydroxide ie crystal draino however they now ad a lot of other crap to make it unusable by meth labs ie, sodium nitrate, aluminum, and sodium chloride.

Red Devil Lye is still 100% sodium hysdroxide so it would be usable. If used long term you would build up excessive sodium.
