I get my CFLs from home depot, they have anywhere from 23w to a monster 65w (300 equivalent). I run ~650 actual watts for my plants. CFLs can grow nice plants.

They'll work for a while. I rigged 2 of those up vertically in a white trash can and vegged 2 plants for about a month in 2 liter bottles. Had little short bushes I topped at every node 3x. It was inspired by Trailer Park Boys. Even lined the inside with an emergency blanket and Elmers Glue. I didn't think it'd work but it did just fine. They were the 2 foot tubes. Thanks dude i actually moved my lights vertically because the hanging space is small so i just felt that they werent doing much. Haha nice i never knew someone would try that! Props bro
