my seeds are germinating right now and i plan on planting them in two days. but my question is in about a month i have to go home for a week could i get by without watering them for a week or is there any solution to watering them when im gone. i would be using 8 by 11 inch pots if that helps. thanks

git a gallon jug, poke a tiny hole small enough so that if u put water in it it will drip constantly in the bottom side, not directly on the bottom, and put it above your soil, fill it up, and let it drip

bam-chicka-wham problem solved

Great idea risko. I'll actually be facing a similar problem right when my ladies are hitting week 9 of flowering, spring break. They're slow growers but I might be able to pull the done bud off right below I leave and and clean it up when I get back. But I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

Any other ideas for cheap automated water?

But eddielish, I had 3 nearing the end of veg growth at the beginning of winter break. I soaked em good, was able to come back in 7 days and rewatered them, they were fine. Then had to leave them again another 10 days, so I turned off some of the lights to lessen the water usage, soaked them good again and had a torturous 10 days waiting to see them.

Got back, they were all drooping straight down(leaves), watered the hell out of them and they perked up within hours. So 10 days they survived in the end stages of veg.

You could be in a better situation since they'll be using less water a month in.
