Has anybody just cut the plant at the bottom of the stalk and flip the whole thing upside down for a day or two? Then cut off the individual branches and hang those. Im sure people have done it before im just wondering what the pros/cons are if any.

yeh. last plant i cut the bottom and hung the whole thing upside down for 3 days, then cut it up into smaller branches, and hung those for 5 more days.

theres nothing wrong with doing this, you just need the space for a whole plant to hang upside down.

I'm not sure if you want to just chop it down and hang it up, or chop it, the trim off all the leaves, and then hang it still in one piece... but I'd recommend you trim because wilted leaves are a bitch.

also trimming a plant in one piece can be hard, especially if its a big one, so don't bight off more then you can chop.
