I want to start my own vending business. My coop. asked me to supply a perpetual garden with a uniform crop of a strain I've been breeding myself. How much of a donation should I expect per plant.

Hi all. I'm new to RIU but I think its a great site and I've already received some very good advice from here. I have a communications business that I run in Indiana. I started this business about 2 years ago when I worked side-by-side with the boss at my old company. I saw him being very lazy and he was raking in the cash and I wanted in. He refused to let me be "a partner," so, I saved some cash...told him I quit, and went out the next day and made up a name, got business ins., bought a web site, and called all my old clients. It was a lot like the scene from Jerry McGuire when he leaves and tries to take his clients with him. I only had a limited amount of time to beat my old boss to my "potential" clients and get them to take the leap with me. You know what, one did! This was the beginning.

If your wondering what kind of Comm company I have, theres lots of kinds, its a low-voltage one. I do....data infrastructure, fiber optics, security, CCTV, fire systems. Yes, I work right beside cops a lot of times and I help set up "stings" on thiefs. I have no problem with setting up cameras in a managers office and lettting him get cought on camera. I don't like thiefs and thats that. Now that the recession has hit, my business took a 180 and I do a lot of CCTV and security systems. Its a service based business and it works well. I run Quickbooks for invoicing and tracking. Quickbooks is a MUST HAVE if you start a business now adays. If anyone has any questions, feel free to post and I'll help. If you have ideas for your business please shoot them at me. I'm very good at look at the "real" business, and not delusions of grandeur, that most people have when starting off. I'll tell it how it is. Hope all had a Merry Christmas and have a great New Year!

feel like branching out? i live in south central ky (right on the ky/tn line) and would like to get involved w/ a business such as yours. i have 3 years at w.k.u. under my belt (toward psych degree) and am tired of having to 'take what comes' in the way of work. i have 3 boys who i'd like to be able to leave something to one of these days and am looking for something where i'm able to 'be my own boss' and the harder i work the more I make and not some random suit whose daddy give him a business! ya know? so if u think there may be a possibility of something here let me know. post back here or send me a pm.:peace:

Exactly, its just like bent and dent grocery stores.
Big corperations have so much food either damaged or close to experation date which they will not sell. Then they send the unwanted food to grocery liquidators.
The liquidators then put these items in "bannana boxes" Each bannana box has alot of different items and they sell for around 8-15$ a box.
I see a big opportunity here, seeing as our economy is goin to shit, therefor people want to save alot of money. And these products are dirt cheap.
There was another member on here saying he opened one up but i havent really had a chance to talk with him.

I own a mobile home park. Went all out on making the homes nice. As the economy worsens, I am counting my blessings because I am staying full and my phone is ringing.

some people don't understand that concept sometimes^^^you have to spend money to make money. lol, just make sure your making more than ya spend. (eventually) it's called an 'investment'.

  • money that is invested with an expectation of profit
  • the commitment of something other than money (time, energy, or effort) to a project with the expectation of some worthwhile result; "this job calls for the investment of some hard thinking"; "he made an emotional investment in the work"

congrats on your investment baglady, may it continue to show returns for you for years to come!

Greetings all.

I am new to this site and am impressed with the level of comnuncation that goes on.

I am also new to growing this sacred plant and have noticed the growing world has really evolved.

From technology to the laws on how they are written.

I am in the process of developing a grow system that will ultimately shorten the grow time of the plant but also increase not just the potency but alter the characteristics of the plant. All mainly thru applied select frequencies.

My primary goal is to sell my systems to medical growers.

The system would consist of a generator, custom software and training on how to use the system.

I am in the preliminary stages of testing.

Does anybody out there know of anyone doing this kind of research?

I can see an amazing amount of potential due to the number of states that have passed medical M.J. (14) and 12 pending.

Much thanks.

Uhhhhhhh.... tht sounds great but the length or the amount of time that a marijuana plant/strain grows for, as well as the potency and amount of THC produced, is due to the genetic makeup of the plant that you have. I dont really see any way of doing this without actually changin the true genetic makeup of the plant. There are hundreds, maybe thousands of extremely experienced growers out ther who have been trying to do what you are doing for years. If you really have a system that really does do this, thats amazing, but i would think that you would have to have a large amount of very detailed studies and trials to show growers before they would even think about trying this. Also depends on how much the cost of this system is. If you could explain more, maybe in a different thread in a different section of this website, there are many very VERY knowlegable people on here who i am sure would b happy to review or ideas and make comments.
