Hey everyone, first time grower here. I am trying to find some cheap yet good equipment for my first grow. I am sorry if I posted in the wrong section! I want to grow 2 or maybe 3 plants on an indoor set up. Can you tell me if the lights, fans, strains etc are good for what I am looking for? Thanks in advance.

Lights: MarsHydro Mars300 ( Lumen: 110v: 4,377lumen 220v: 4,281lumen )

Strains:Royal AK Auto, Amnesia Haze ( All from Royal Queen Seeds )

Fan: Arctic F8 80mm from eBay.

Additional: Mycorrhizae

And a last question. How big should my grow box be? I would like to SCROG if it's possible. I could also buy 2 LED panels if they need more light. Thank you for your answers! Cheers!

Your fan will be inadequate, I run 1x200mm pc fan on intake and 2x 200mm pc fans for extraction my box is 700mm sq and 1.5m high , I run a 300w CFL plus a mix of warm white and daylight led strip for side lighting on all the walls. Got 2 plants in but it's a little cramped. Next go I will only do 1 plant which was the original intension.

I would avoid Mars led lights. If you're looking for one that's inexpensive I've seen the Viparspectra produce decent buds. You'll need a inline fan & proper ventilation or you'll just run into issues during the flowering stage.

Alright thank you man. But god damn it's so expensive to grow indoors.

Checking them out and I found the 300W one. Costs 85E. Is that one good? It's from eBay. I'll make a DIY carbon filter too.

From what I've seen on YouTube and the documented grows here , it does ok for that price range. I went with galaxyhydro roleadro 5w chip lights. At the time they were 149$ for the 300w now it's 109$. These are doing ok for me until I'm able to upgrade and get 2 Solo Cree 400w.

Keep it simple dude my setup cost around £80 once I'm happy I will spend big bucks if need be. I recycled alot from building sites saves £££

Can I use only one for 2 plants? Or should I buy 2 of those? Couldn't find that Solo Cree you are talking about.

That should be ok. I grow in a 3.5x3.5 with 2 lights and 4 plants. It takes a bit of research to get the light at a reasonable price. eBay wants your arm & leg for it.

Growing indoor may seem expensive, but once you invest in decent gear and get the hang of growing you'll be able to produce large amounts of high quality buds for very little money. I recently harvested a single plant grown under a old CLW Solar Storm 440 that yielded a bit over a half pound dry of top quality flower and another 2 or 4 ounces of popcorn buds and sugar trim that was extracted to make hash. Go find out what a half pound of dank and over a half an ounce of full melt costs to buy on the street. Now tell me whether you think growing indoors is expensive..:bigjoint:
