I'm getting this for my next grow: http://www.greenshorticulture.co.uk/Propagation-23/Propagation-T5-Lights-154/Lightwave-T5-1158.asp

Anybody know how many plants I can keep under this and how long for?

they work so well because they give light from a large space instead of a single point like a MH or HPS. but HPS is needed to get great yield in flower.

Yeah, I bought one. Nothing to report yet as my seedlings are only a few days old. It's quite heavy though. Forget about about those yo-yo hanging things and get some chain instead.

It is all about lumens. My 6 bulb t5 puts out 30 k lumens. I have fig out that is enuf to veg 4 plants however long I feel like. At the most two months. While the other crop flowers under a 600 or 1000 I hope soon. I did the math and i alsp noticed that a 600 and a 400 mh was overkil and used a lot of heat. I could hold those bulbs without hoods way over the canopy and still have way more than enough light. So under a 4 foot bulb lined up my 4 buckets fit ok so far. I am kinda only a few months into a t5 tho. I paid 170 with tax I think and bulbs so shop around. I thot I would have heat from all the paranoid posts about still having heat but I have none. A 60 watt incandescent produces more heat that my 6 bulb 4 footer. So 30 k was minumin for me. I sometimes have turned it down to 20 k and gotten good days tho. It was the t5 or a 250 hps or mh for veg. I chose right. :) Way easy to run co2 too. Run co2 in veg. It is awesome.
